  1. get a car with AWD, will make towing easier, and look at a diesel as well. look at a subaru forester or a volkswagen tdi model
  2. people run open water on snowmobiles all the time, hell, people drive their vehicles out on to the frozen lakes taking a chance it may break through, litter the river banks with endless garbage, pollute our local lakes with oil and gas from leaky outboards and rape our natural resources like they are renewable. and you're worried about one guy on a dirt bike in a foreign country?
  3. If it we're me, i'd be making a list of all the creature comforts i want in the machine. right down to how comfortable the seats are for driving. When I decided my car just didn't suit my lifestyle anymore ( carrying fishing gear, cargo capacity and whatnot) I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted so that when i bought my truck i asked myself these questions, does it suit me? does it have everything I want? Will it do everything that I plan to do with it?. where the controls are located, do the seats fit you does it have enough living space does it have enough cargo space how does it handle reliability ie, type of engine, what make, transmission make, if looking at RV i would worry about comforts and other things before worrying about brand name also, when you're looking at rv's and trailers, take you wife along, I know, it sounds like a bad idea, but the reasoning is actually good, get in it, and move about and pretend your living in it and doing your everyday things like cooking and cleaning and relaxing and figure out if theres enough space
  4. too bad they don't play KC again this year, would look real good to shut them up with all the Bull they're talking and the Bull from Sundays game
  5. Those storms were crazy, we made it off Lake O at about 3pm, had supper off the bbq seconds before it poured rain. This morning had to shop-vac 36 gallons of water out of my dads boat, the front bilge pump wire was disconnected so it wasn't working! this boat is new to him so no water proof top yet.
  6. Good game today.....lost a big bench player in Valencia though. Claimed off waivers by Oakland
  7. Thanks for all the advice all. Went out yesterday and landed a lot of really small stuff, nothing big. Got a 12" Atlantic out there. Most excitement came when the rigger popped, big bend in the rod, get the fish to boat, and there's 2 fish on the end of the line, one on the slider spoon, and another on the main spoon. The weather chased us off the lake by 230-3pm. Today looks like a write off. On a side not, got my daughter out for first boat ride, and she loved every minute of it.
  8. Well, beef prices are on the rise, with no end in sight at the moment, at least thats the word from our suppliers, $20/lb for an Ontario raised, no growth hormones addeds, antibiotic free, AAA rib eye. But, heres a butcher shop in Australia, its the fanciest one in the world, one of our customers went there while visiting family down under, told them he is a chef from Canada, and that his butcher shop sent him, they gave him the full tour of the place. http://www.slightlywarped.com/crapfactory/curiosities/2013/august/fanciest_butcher_shop_in_the_world.htm the pictures show what dry aged beef actually looks like before cutting
  9. If there is, they gotta dig deep. They currently have 3 catchers, if they can somehow package Navaro with Dickie or Hutchison for another top tier pitcher, they'd be sitting in pretty good spot
  10. They will push Price for a long term deal, they have their whole team basically locked in for the next 3 years, Price would be a fool to want to go anywhere else. Future Starting rotation: Price, Stroman, Hutchison, Sanchez, Dickie?
  11. the Jays have 13+ blown saves in the first half, with a good closer that number would be around maybe 2, and the Jays would be in a great spot
  12. His contract has an activated no trade clause in it, meaning he can be traded once, and then the no trade clause kicks in. he also under club control for the next 5 years. was a good trade to upgrade a key position, and with the slower turf at the dome, his range will be increased. The fans tonight welcomed him with open arms at the dome
  13. TIGERS ARE SELLING!!!! Price and others are very much up for grabs
  14. The bullpen is good, just overworked when you your starters can't get past the 4th or 5th inning. Badly needed starting pitching, and a possibly a closer? or run with Osuna/Sanchez in a shared closer roll Samardzja (sp) is available, but with his contract up this year, take the risk he'll walk? Or does AA have another trick up his sleeve that no one sees coming?
  15. And how many 'Worms for Sale' signs do you pass by to any lake in the Kawarthas, that aren't a commercial business, theres tons of people that do this. Hell, where I grew up in Sarnia, there was a guy that lived beside the arena who sold worms and minnows from his shed, just pull up, open the fridge, grab the worms, or fill a bucket with minnows, put the money in the bin, drive away, all done by honour system. Should we ban garage sales since they take away business from second hand stores?
  16. Won't miss his defense, thats for sure. what will be missed is the great mood he usually brings to clubhouse, and his bat. but Tulo will make up for the bat and shoddy defense. With Tulo locked in to 2020, that leaves room to move Goins, as well as Navaro, and possibly Carrera. Thole is rotting down in AAA, and the faster you can be rid of Dickie, the better
  17. Found you the perfect one Big Cliff,
  18. Its not on their site, its in store, fishhunter 250 by sevylor, and fishhunter 350 the 11ft model for 229 i think, the first is regular 219, the second regular 349 i was originally going in there to get this one, then i saw the fishhunter on special, http://www.sail.ca/en/promotions/equipment/sevylor-super-caravelle-122536
  19. Its not the MPG though, its the safety of the nearly unrepairable steering system and location of fuel tanks lovin my F-150 more and more
  20. When doing a search for your boat, I wasn't able to find that model by Princecraft, they had a Super Pro........Starcraft had the Superfisherman and the 14ft model was rated for 40hp http://www.starcraftmarine.com/sites/default/files/brochures/1997-Starcraft-Fishing-Catalog.pdf The Princecraft Fisherman is rated for 20HP though http://boatspecs.iboats.com/Princecraft__1997/bp/54br1356y
