  1. Edmonton on gas buddy shows $1.029 to $1079 this morning. Filled up Friday afternoon in Edmonton for $1.079 when leaving the boat show.
  2. Gas is currently $1.079 to $1.099 here in Alberta.
  3. scuro2 your posts are laughable at best. Please keep posting.
  4. Rather be eliminated in the playoffs rather than eliminated from playoff contention like the Leafs are oh so good at!
  5. Excuses for a team with no heart. Bad referee calls both ways. Always a joy when Ovie loses. Last year when Washington was up 2-0 on Pittsburgh, Ovie singing on the bench with the fans in Washington, Pittsburgh sucks. Was so nice when Pittsburgh took them out. Now my Habs have taken them out which makes my season. And agree, it is very apparent why Green was not on Team Canada. Comes to the big games and where is he? Something like 12 games in the playoffs now with out a goal. As they say, goaltending and defence win in the playoffs, Washington has neither.
  6. I picked up the 7'10" KVD Tour medium heavy moderate action rod for $150 and put my Quantum Energy Power baitcaster on it with 30 lb powerpro braid and then a flourcarbon leader. Cannot wait to try it out in a month.
  7. The BPS out here opened last year at this time. been there 3 or 4 times. Nice store but staff not at all knowledgable when it comes to their products. Selection could be better as well. On a positive, Cabelas announced just this week they are opening 2 new stores in western Canada. One to be open this spring, one this fall. holdfast, they will announce in two weeks the exact locations but rumours are Regina and Red Deer although I am going with Saskatoon and Edmonton. Never been one to go with the flow.
  8. Been bowhunting since early 90's out here. Mainly for elk and moose during the rut. Have filled my freezer a few times over with it. Bowhunting elk during the rut is the ultimate. Like hunting turkeys with a whole lot of antler on its head!
  9. Well don't that beat all! My Team Canada jersey and hat both got a little tighter! Way to go Canada.
  10. Correct me if I am wrong, most gold medals won by a hosting country in the winter olympics, not most gold won by a nation at a winter olympics.
  11. Anyone who doubts the Kid think again. Stanley Cup and Gold in the Olympics. Oh where has Ovechkin been lately! And to all those who doubted our team and bad mouthed the players on the team like Toews, Perry et al, hope you are ashamed of yourselves! And do not forget a good ole Saskatchewan boy who was coaching! Has a World Junior Gold, Stanley Cup and now an Olympic Gold. Way to go Mike! Plus he is a good outdoorsmen to boot. Brother in law is Rob from Noslers Magnum TV!
  12. Yeah! It sure wasn't Miller time tonite!
  13. Yeah baby! Canada gold medallists!
  14. Some very good advice on this board. I too was in your situation back in the day. Laid off, jobs lasting only a short time then laid off again, living at my mom and dads. Well I said enuff is enuff, went and got an education (no rocket scientist here either) and am now making very good money doing something I enjoy and looking forward to a big ole pension at age 55 in 7 years. The world is your oyster if you wanna grab it.
  15. In Alberta here. Our main hunting forum is www.outdoorsmenforum.ca Lots of people there to help you out. What are you looking to hunt for?
  16. Ben which lake you catching the lakers on? Big Vermilion?
  17. Nice truck and been hearing lots of good things in regards to fuel mileage with them. Congrats.
  18. I have the same boat as Radnine. I phoned my dealership way back when the recall notice came out. Have heard nothing back since. Also contacted Crestliner and asked if i would be reimbursed for my lost wages and travelling to get this done as I live 2 hours from the nearest Crestliner dealership. They were very arrogant and beligerent over all of it. Lost a lot of respect for Crestliner. Their problems should not cost me. They sold me a boat that was advertised to meet all the safety requirements. The boat does not. They should foot the bill for this not I.
  19. Stoty, Strictly barbless out here and unfortunately no bass (other than a stocked lake many moons ago which may or may not have smallies). Also we have very limited walleye/pike catch and keep regs out here. Send me a pm and maybe we can arrange a day out in my boat on one of the reservoirs like Crawling Valley.
  20. Nice fish Rob, always enjoy your reports. As for the pike I am guessing 15lbs+ easily.
  21. Well just got a letter in the mail saying my boat, Crestliner 1600 Fish Hawk SC has been recalled as it does not meet US Coast Guard requirements for level floatation with proper distribution of weight if swamped. Supposed to take it back to the dealer to have some foam kit installed which may alter storage areas or compartments. Oh goody, wonder how long this is going to take and how much storage and which compartments are going to be affected. Bought the boat brand new spring of 2008. Will be calling their customer service rep this morning to get the low down.
  22. Have to agree with Radnine, that is the boat, in fact looks just like mine!
  23. Good report Rob. Did you try jigging on Hackett where we were set up that Saturday?
  24. Nice report Rob. Still want to get up there and try Delaronde.
