Both LeBarons & BPS carry MinnKota, and I'm pretty sure the Maxxum is one of the models. You can also check Gagnons in Oshawa as I know they used to be a dealer, but not sure if they still are after the fire. I recently purchased a MinnKota myself and found LeBarons to be cheaper than BPS.

Hi folks, I've been away fish'n for a few days and got home about noon today. I posted last week about a severe storm that hit the Peterboro area and did some damage in our trailer park, so I thought I'd share a couple pictures of a cottage that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This tree was probably 30" wide across the trunk so the cottage didn't have a chance, but fortunately there was nobody around it, so there were no injuries. Another tree came down about 100 yards away and hit a trailer but didn't do any serious damage to it. Scary stuff, but like I said, no injuries and buildings can easily be replaced. Keep your head up when the winds start to howl

I've got a couple of the same lure as that one, one is the same color as yours and the other is chartreuse and orange. They make an excellent trolling bait and run well at higher speeds.

That's a good sized bass for your son Harry, I've heard Erie is becoming one of the better smallmouth bass lakes anywhere around.

if you could only have one bait in your box, what would it be?

If you already had the answer picked out that you wanted to hear, why'd you bother asking the rest of us the question ?? I was under the impression you were asking us what OUR favorite bait was....... -
The Mustang has always been a very impressive plane in my mind.. It played a huge role in turning the tides in our favour during WW11

That's a whole bunch of real purdy fish ya got there Glen. You may want to pack a T-shirt when you come up here in November though, there's sometimes a slight chill in the air on a November evening, although most of the skeeters are gone by then.

Spinnerbait........big spinnerbait........infact REALLY BIG spinnerbait All the way from here............................................................waaaaaaay over to here maybe a dark color, or maybe a light, it all depends did I say BIG ?? I can cast it, or troll it, I can run it very fast, or move it very slow, I can work it shallow or very deep, I can bounce it over rocks or work it thru the weeds, yet it's nearly weedless and won't hang up on the boulders. And it catches fish.......lotsa fish. Did I say BIG ?? -
Prices are back up around 99¢......at least in Toronto Gee, whatta coincidence that the prices jump again right in front of a long weekend. Couldn't be price fixin though, cause we've got the assurance from our government that everything is on the up & up with the thieves....er, oil companies....and they wouldn't lie to us.......would they ??

Happy B-Day Paul & Al All the best to the pair of youz

Yup, it took out the middle cottage right across from me Mike, plus another l arge pinetree came down and hit a trailer, but she can't tell how much damage was done to it as the tree is still against it. Keep an eye on the sky though Mike, incase it turns your way.

My daughter is up at my trailer near Peterboro this week and just called to tell me about a huge storm moving thru the area. She says there's heavy rain, golfball sized hail and powerful winds, infact the wind is so strong it just toppled a huge tree in the trailer park and crushed a cottage. Sure hope none of our members are on the water right now !!

The old homestead is startin to look pretty snazzy there bud !! Congrats to you & the little woman on 18 years and Happy B-Day to Avery

Too bad you hadn't posted earlier Paul, I just spent a couple hours wandering around Bass Pro this morning and could have had a look for you. They've got about 4 aisles of nuthin but plastics, infact I grabbed some myself to attach to spinner baits for trailers.

nelly, congrats to you and the rest of your crew on a very successful weekend. Pigeon is an excellent lake and is always a great lake to fish and has always been one of my favorites. As for the dead musky, you spent 30 minutes trying to revive it and that's all anyone could ask for. Muskies fight incredibly hard and sometimes it proves fatal to them and there's abssolutely nothing you can do to prevent it. You tried and it didn't work.....that's musky fish'n. Anyone who fishes for musky on a regular basis, has caught alot of them and then says he's never had one die on him, is well, you know....... Don't sweat it pal, it happens, but thanks for trying to save her anyways.

Thanks steve_ paul, those video's are incredible Gives a pretty good example of how skillful those pilots are !!

Sorry to see you've moved to the dark side Jamie Can I have your Dawgs ??

I heard on this mornings news that Canada is flying a couple waterbombers over to Greece to help them fight the fires that are covering so much of the country and killing many people. I think it's great that were able to use our equipment to help folks so far away. Kudos to whoever made the decision.

Good to hear they admitted a problem and looked after you Mike, and also good of you to bring it to everyones attention. It's nice to know the companies that take care of their customers. Sorta reminds me of a broken Jail Bird Believer story from about a year ago

That report was a true joy to read, thanks for taking the time to post it. You've got a beautiful new family, a new home and even a new boat to go along with everything else. Looks to me like you've got just about everything a man needs, well 'cept for a dog, but that'll come soon enuff. Life is good for you .....enjoy !!!! -
I spose by your friends analogy, a person has to spend 365 days a year with a fish'n pole in his hands to be a true fisherman, and if that's his opinion, well then, he's entitled to it. Myself, I have absolutely no interest in ice fishing, infact I find it to be about the most boring activity in the world.....well maybe next to bowling ......but that's just me, but I certainly don't think more or less about a person who does enjoy it, but I don't think it makes him anymore of a "true fisherman" than somebody who doesn't participate. I also don't stream fish in the spring, although I think I may enjoy that, and may even give it a try some day. My fishing season starts with the spring pickeral in early May, then musky opens the start of June and that becomes my only target fish till season closure December 15th. I dunno, maybe I'm not a true fisherman by some folks opinion, but then again I've never been too caught up in titles or names, so I'm not really all that concerned with what some folks call others, or don't call them for that matter.

I'd say Guest is one of the best names in On-Board chargers. I've been using a model 2611 for the past 8 years and so far it's been flawless. I've got 2 deep cycles so use a dual bank, but I'm sure you can purchase a single bank for your boat. As long as you've got an alternator on your main angine, you shouldn't need to use a charger to maintain your cranking battery.

A real purdy fish Matt, congrats to your bud !!
-
Kirk, I've been wondering why I haven't heard from you regarding our often put-off musky trip, but I now understand the reason Congratulations to you and your whole family, that's awesome news !!

I've also had a flat tire in a ZEC, infact about 60 miles back in the bush, but it sounds like my experience wasn't quite as interesting as yours, Jon.....lookin forward to the tale. Oh yeah, and welcome home bud.
