  1. The palomar is the best knot for Power Pro Meely, but your better off moving up to 80 - 100 # line.
  2. Have you ever gone to GOOGLE and typed in your own name, or even the name of a family member or friend to see what information pops up ??........give it a try. My grandfather was born in England in 1896, so this morning, to see if anything would come up, I typed in his name and the town he was born in and the story that came up was about a man with the same name as my grandfather, who was executed in 1922 for murdering his own mother So, either their talking about a different man, or I don't really exist hmmmmmm.........
  3. Sorry I can't help you with your question, but I'll bump it back to the top for you incase someone else has an answer for you. Anybody ??
  4. That's a great way to spend a couple days and WTG on the fish, specially your dads 1st. The Ottawa is indeed an excellent musky river and I've fished it 3 years in row now myself, and will be back again next year, and the next, and.......
  5. Yup, our boy Jamie has definetely gone over to the dark side !!
  6. Was it ever made public if this farmer even raised livestock ?? Perhaps he's a corn grower and just hates dogs
  7. Congrats on your 1st ever musky Jacques, she's a real beaut, that's always the hardest one to get and all the rest come easier now
  8. Cliff, if bearing buddies are over filled, it'll blow the seals and let water into the bearings, then your in big trouble. If your purchasing a used trailer, perhaps take it to a qualified person and have the existing bearings checked, repacked or replaced, if your unable to do it yourself. It's not too expensive and could possibly save you alot of heartache on the side of the hiway someday. Wheel bearings WILL fail if not properly maintained
  9. It's OK Wayne, at least you have her address now and you can go calling on her again the next time your out that way.
  10. Brian, I think it's great that you went out and fullfilled a longtime dream, and I for one, have always enjoyed reading all your tourney reports. If you hadn't tried it, you'd have always regretted it. Thanks for alot of good reads & pictures over the last couple seasons !!
  11. It looks like an excellent package, go ahead & buy it, and then you can always trade up in a couple years if you decide you need to. Not too much power at all, that boat, I believe, is rated for 40HP and any boat will work better if you max out the power for what the boat is designed for. You can always throttle back if you don't need it, but it sure is nice if you need to get somewhere in a hurry, like when you see a storm brewing over the horizon. Hope you enjoy your new ride
  12. Gotta luv Quinte in the fall !! Good to hear the trip went so well and you boyz put some excellent fish in the boat. I was fishing a few miles north of Quinte on Saturday and your right about the winds, they were pretty brutal.
  13. Good to hear you boyz enjoyed your day on the Bay. There's a little hint in there for ya Wayne
  14. LOOK OUT !!!!!! jeeeeeez, no wonder bikers wear helmets !!
  15. Absolutely
  16. Any farms out your way huey ?? Alot of farmers rent out their barns for winter storage and it's a LOT cheaper than those regular storage facilities. My boat spends the winter months in this barn and the total price for the ENTIRE winter is only $150 As long as the boat is properly winterized, there's no need for the extra expense of a heated storage facility either.
  17. This new photography section was a great idea and it shows how many talented photpgraphers we have on this board. Too many to mention individually, but thanks to all for posting so many beautiful pictures. Deano, your "pics of the week" from a few years ago was always something to look forward to, and it's good to see you haven't lost your touch over time
  18. That's a great lookin fish Will, nice & clean. Congrats to your bud !!
  19. Hey Chris, winter's coming soon, so don't forget the warm clothes for Brook on your upcoming ice fish'n trips together
  20. Weeds, you may find those hooks over at Bridgenorth Tackle, right at the east end of the causeway at the traffic lights. He's got a pretty good selection of hooks and a bit of musky gear, infact I'm sure I've seen the Sluggos in there too. His # 705-292-9911
  21. Mornin everyone, gonna be another sunny & warm one, hope y'all have a great day
  22. Go gettem Wayne, and good luck on the Bay tomorrow, I woulda jump in myself if I'd seen this earlier.
  23. Mark, there's been an on-going problem with those PD pedals for along time and it's something that is posted quite frequentely on this board. If you recall, I dumped mine after only one year because of the same thing. Get yerself a cable steer bud, and you'll never look back.
  24. Yup, pretty well a straight retrieve Glen. Not alot of action to them and it's sorta like casting a brick, and that particular bait is about 18" long and heavy, with a long thin tail that flutters like a ribbon cutting thru the water. Jamie gets alot of BIG fish with them, but I'm still trying to get used to fishing them as their a totally different concept to what I'm used to.
