  1. Hope it works out good for you too.
  2. Actually, it's now Leonora
  3. Not sure about bass either, but I know my cousin Leonard sure did
  4. Thanks everyone for your thoughts & input and I'll be sending this post to my daughter for her to read today. I'm actually kind of surprised that no doctor has ever sent her for testing for apnea for her headaches when it seems so many folks have it and have been helped with the masks.
  5. Thanks Bruce, that's encouraging to hear. I'm one of the fortunate ones who never gets headaches, but when I see my daughter in so much pain somedays it makes me wish I could trade places with her sometimes.
  6. Interesting stuff about the dental fittings Fisherman, but snoring isn't her problem, it's more about the headaches and that hopefully the extra oxygen may be able to somehow reduce them. And Wayne, I know all about my bud in Burlington, but the bad headaches were never his main problem.
  7. My daughters 39 years old now and has suffered from headaches most of her life, both migrain & "regular" She's had every test known to man and can often control them with medicine but someone suggested recentely that it could be caused in part because of sleep apnea. She went to a sleep clinic last Wednesday where they hooked her up to monitors and she spent the night. Today she went back for the results and sure enuff, she has sleep apnea and according to the results, she actually stops breathing on average 95 times per hour....that's hard to imagine. She had a long talk with the folks at the clinic today and she has to get an oxygen machine to wear while she's asleep and they seem to think that it may do alot to stop many of the headaches that she often wakes up with. The machine they recommended is $1900 but evidentely OHIP picks up alot of the tab and her insurance policy thru work will pick up most, if not all of the balance. I'm just curious to know if any of you fine folks have suffered from alot of headaches, have sleep apnea, and did the oxygen at night help to reduce or eliminate your headaches ??
  8. Good to hear everythings fixed up and your back in the fish'n business again Terry !!
  9. Remember that post very well Joey, incredible fish thru the ice
  10. My wife and I had been out trolling for pickeral in the evening and when we got back to the house trailer she just left her bait ... Mepps spinner with a rubber minnow ... on the rod and leaned it in the corner. I went out musky fishing very early the next morning and left the wife asleep. She got up about 6:00 AM and thought it would be nice if she could go down to the dock and catch a pickeral for us for breakfast. She still had the Mepps clipped on and on her very 2nd cast she hooked into her 1st ever musky, a very nice 43 incher She'd never caught a big fish before but remembered what I'd taught her about adjusting the drag and fighting the fish. She did a great job of getting it into the beach but then was afraid to take the hooks out with it jumping around. She had to leave it on the ground while she ran to the neighbors trailer and woke him up to come and help her. Unfortunately it died before they could release it and she felt terrible Good thing though is we had a friend who was a taxidermist over in Havelock and he mounted it for her and she still has it and still to this day tells the story to anyone who'll listen to her I was a couple miles away when it happened but to this day it's still my favorite fishing moment
  11. I do alot of night time musky fishing with 65 & 80 pound Power Pro, 130 pound Seaguar fluoro leaders and large baits in shallow water and we frequentely get big incidental bass and even the odd pickeral. I don't think the bass or pickeral are too concerned with heavy line at night and their certainly not afraid to grab big baits either. If your not getting them on top water baits, clip on a crank or spinner bait and see what happens. You'll want to slow down your presentation way down at night though. Give it a try and you may be very surprised at what you catch after the sun goes down.
  12. Years ago a friend had a 20' glass I/O on a roller trailer and if the boat was loaded even slightly off centre the rollers would push into the sides of the boat to the point that they looked like they'd puncture it. Always seemed to me that there weren't nearly enough rollers on that trailer.
