  1. My wife had her surgery there in November plus alot of the testing and even if I tried I wouldn't be able to say a single negative thing about them. Absolutely top notch organization, especially the nursing staff who treated my wife like she was the absolute most important person in the world. As far as I'm concerned a nurse can't be overpaid....and that goes for surgeons too.
  2. Tony's a good guy Mike, I've been using his Boo's for 10 or 12 years and have caught a crazy number of muskies with them.
  3. Nice catch Joey !!
  4. That hurts
  5. That sled looks fast just sitting there Shawn LOL
  6. My dad taught me to fish back in the early 50's and as far back as my memory takes me, his #1 go-to bait for just about anything that swam was a wooden pikie minnow. Didn't matter if it was Quinte eyes, French River pike or Simcoe pickeral, he clipped on that old minnow and boy did he ever catch a ton of fish on it. Back in the day guys didn't have a dozen rods and hundreds of lures like today, you had ONE rod and a couple baits. When Dad got to a point in his life when he retired from fishing, he made me a gift of that pikie minnow and my memories of it made it one of the best gifts I ever received. I was afraid to use it in case I lost the darned thing and it sat in my tackle box as a good luck charm for years. One day my bud and I were heading out to do some trolling and I got brave and decided to give it a try. Darned if I didn't get hung up on something and before I knew it the line snapped and the bait was gone. I couldn't believe I'd lost it and was wondering how the heck I was even gonna tell Dad I'd lost his #1 bait. Anyhoo, it was done and nothing I could do about it so I sucked it up and we continued fishing. Couple hours later we're trolling back and my bud yells out "look, there's your lure" and sure enough it had somehow popped free and was floating on the surface. Couldn't believe how lucky I was and swore I'd never use it again and to this day it hangs on the wall of my garage alongside a bunch of other stuff. There's no monetary value to it, but the sentimental value makes it priceless to me. That lure is close to 70 years old and is now permanently retired. I've got some very expensive musky baits with some being close to $100, but so far I haven't managed to lose any of them yet.
  7. Slightly off topic but still regarding our health care. With my wife's recent problem she was given a prescription for a 10 day supply of medicine that costs $2100.00.....yes, $210 per day. Being as my wife is over 65...(don't tell her I told you that)...the $2100 was COMPLETELY covered by the government health plan.Yes, there are issues sometimes with our system just like anywhere else in the world, but I still think we have an excellent system. Sorry for the detour Cliff, I just wanted to throw that out there,
  8. Sorry to hear about the hospital issues Cliff and hopefully Sue gets fixed up soon. Just to show the other side of the Health Care coin though. My wife has also gone through some serious health issues in the last year and we've both said how fantastic the entire system has been for her. Between Peterboro hospital, Sunnybrook and Lakeridge in Oshawa, every test called for by her doctors has been done very fast and on schedule and the treatments and surgery have been amazing. Not a single test or appointment has been delayed or cancelled and every single aspect of the entire process has been more than we could have ever hoped for. Hopefully things turn around soon for you guys and Sue gets whatever treatments are required.
  9. Here's an article from a local paper in my area pertaining to traps. Thought some may find it interesting. http://lakefieldherald.com/2015/02_13_2015/traps.html
  10. And often have to adjust the horizontal & vertical holds just so we could watch the 3 channels we had available LOL
  11. The TV is connected to the internet and I have access to the other features, I just haven't spent too much time getting familiar with them.
  12. I planned on doing it wireless Mike but couldn't get it to work. I called Samsung and was told the only way to use my computer normally and see it on the TV screen was to run a cable from HDMI2 on the TV to the back of my computer. Works good for me anyways.
  13. Never heard about that till recently Dave, hope 'm not on the list LOL
  14. HAHAHA
  15. Thanks Cliff, I've talked to a few folks lately about the Smart TV's and they all say the same thing as you. Perhaps it's time for me to catch up to the 21'st century LOL
  16. It sure made for a great story TJ lol
  17. This is the 1st thing I've actually done with the Smart TV Cliff, infact I haven't even really played with it yet but will soon probably. Funny thing was I wasn't even looking for a TV as we had a nice one in the den already, but I was in a store with my daughter and they had this one at $400 off regular price so I grabbed it. As I said previously, I don't really watch much TV other than a bit in the evenings, but I may find this thing to be alot of fun once I figure it all out.
  18. Alot besides the eyes is failing LOL
  19. I hardly ever watch TV davey, but we've got the darned things all over the house with a 52 in the family room, 42's in the bedrooms and even a little guy in the kitchen
  20. My thoughts as well Rich
  21. You know Diane Phil, she doesn't hold back LOL
  22. I told my wife if she would bring me my coffee all day I'll never have to get out of my chair now.....she didn't laugh I ended up getting a new computer screen Steve, turns out when the old one fell it actually ruined it.
  23. I bought a 60" Samsung TV for the den a few weeks back and it's the same room where the computer is. I ran an HDMI cable from the TV to the computer and am now able to use the big screen for viewing the computer. When I'm done viewing the internet I only have a button to push on the remote and I'm back to regular TV. Picked up the cable and adapter this morning for $25 and it only took a few minutes to set it up which is pretty good considering I'm a total dolt when it comes to electronics. I can now sit back comfortably in the Lazy Boy with the wireless mouse & key board on my lap and surf the 60 inch wide net . Life just keeps on getting better
  24. Always good having you & Bernie around Dan.
  25. Says the man who doesn't even need a reel to land a huge musky
