It's not the ISP that is sending you the warnings initially, they are just passing it on after they get those threatening letters from the big corps like Disney and Sony etc. It happened to my local provider last year so he blocked all torrents with his firewalls. Simple fix, and many isp's will tell you this, is to use a vpn as has been mentioned. That way all packets are encrypted and no one can see the content of your data. I did my research, And Private Internet Access consistently was at the top of best providers. They keep absolutely no logs, which is key. That way if they do get a request to turn over any info they may have on their servers about users they just say sure, we're happy to comply, but unfortunately we have no log data, so we have nothing to turn over. I use PIA Cliff. It's $40/year and it works great. Guys, damn lowlifes are everywhere. Around here on the Head Pond there are two launches, one at Clay Bank and the other behind the Boeing plant. For at least the last two years fishermen have been getting ripped off. Last year it was trailer parts like spares, jack wheels etc. This year they have started breaking into vehicles too. They have it all planned with hand tools and even reciprocating saw this year to cut brackets.Two different vehicles, one as a lookout. It doesn't get much lower than this! These guys are scum of the earth. I'm a member of fish-hawk, and three members there have been hit, so who knows how bad it really is? Of course the cops know but... Thing is, even if they did ever get caught, chances are they wouldn't get much. What really needs to happen is a well thought out sting operation, followed by some good old fashioned country justice. That'd teach those buggers a proper lesson. Cheers

Your easiest fix is to download never10 from https://www.grc.com/never10.htmand run it. It will make the necessary registry changes and block it from installing. Not your case but some pc's could have over 6Gb of data hiding on their system just waiting for the install and never10 would remove that too. MS included all that data as updates, the sneaky buggers. Also check your windows updates and remove those two I mentioned above so you don't get the nag. Cheers

It's not so much the OS itself, although there certainly are driver issues with hardware not working. Just the fact that MS is giving this away for free, which they have never done before, raises huge flags for me, as there has to be ulterior motives behind their push. Why else would they force these upgrades on users so hard, even without authorization? As it turns out, Win10 is chock full of monitoring and reporting software that in effect tells Microsoft everything you do on your computer. Basically you are losing any presumption of privacy and they can use this info for any purpose they desire, which you can be sure is not for your benefit. Also from what I hear, while it may be free for a start, don't be surprised if Microsoft starts charging a yearly fee for using their software, so they'll get their money anyway. For those who don't want to "upgrade" I suggest using a utility called Never10 or another one called the GWX Control Panel to block MS from pulling a fast one on your system. Cheers

Windows is playing tricks again. Updates that are important to them, not you as a user, are now being labelled as important so most folks will unknowingly install them. This morning I start up my pc and notice new updates available. So I take a look at the notice and see kb3135583. Hey wait a minute, that looks familiar to me. Didn't I remove that months ago because of problems it was causing, plus it is a win10 patch that caused major controversy among the tech field. So I look it up and yep, this is the same patch that MS has reissued about 4 times now as they try and force win10 on users. So I look at the other "important update" kb3173040. Sure enough, it's only purpose is to advertise Win10 and remind people that time is running out for the free "upgrade". So my strong advice is for any win7 or 8 users. Do Not Install these updates. Uncheck them to stop the install or if it's too late, go into your update history and remove them. Trust me, they are not good for you. Cheers

Another heads up for Barrie. My neighbour is from there and was visiting for the weekend. Had a few pops with some old friends and was walking back as he didn't want to drive. Anyway, he's had kidney problems in the past and had to have a leak real bad. So he gets out of sight to relieve himself. Finishes and turns around to see a cop watching him. I still have two big chief smokers, one I got a garage sale for $10. Deal! They have served me great for a long time. My latest favorite for sure has been Canadian back bacon made with those cheap full loin packs. The trim I grind and freeze for other uses like burgers and meat loaf. Then into the smoker for a pan or two, until it turns toasty color. Let cool of course, then process to absolutely the best bread crumbs you can't buy. So damn good for coating fish, chicken or seafood, on top of a casserole, or mixing in burgers and meat loaf. Plus it lasts for ages in the pantry. Well, not really, cause it gets used. For me it helps distinguish and enhance any dish I use it in. Cheers

I just noticed that you're willing to try trolling. I suggest you try the Fish Seeker. It's a lightweight diver meant for lighter line and is totally adjustable in 5ft steps down to 80ft by adjusting where the main line and the leader attach. I believe the chart is based on 10lb line. They work pretty well but you can't use deep diving plugs behind them as it will trip and plane up. Price is great at under $10. OMG I'm drooling Rick, and of course I've never even tried it. I love smoked fish, my Big Chief smoker has had many varieties through it. Even bullhead once. By far the best came from Arctic Char. I worked for First Air for over ten years and one of the perks was access to frozen whole char from the north at a real nice price. Delivered for free. Excellent grilled as steaks.
