  1. I got into quite a few while in Trenton last week. I debated keeping one to try but changed my mind once i hit my limit of eyes. Hahaha
  2. I was tagged on facebook with this video, i thought everybody on here would enjoy it! https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hvideo-xpf1/v/t42.1790-2/10444103_510893315723399_196896660_n.mp4?oh=f1e18f568580855e16cc468bac85bbdd&oe=53F78001
  3. I love the sick stick action! I use the finicky ticklers on drop shots with great results, im sure you will like them also.
  4. My 2 year old jiffy is a piece of junk. Every time i got it started i would think to myself " looks like its gonna be my lucky day today"! Lol. Needless to say, i just bought a normark/husqvarna with 10" blade. Wish i did at the beginning of season!
  5. The crappie rod Garry built for my dad has the microwave guides. Phenomenal casting distance!
  6. I couldnt picture that tank of a reel on the dobyns. I had the same rod and i wouldnt pair it with anything other than a core 51. But to each their own.
  7. Great job once again Garry! My dad absolutely loves the rod i had you build for him last year! Keep up the amazing work!
  8. I watched a segment online about improving performance of aluminum bass boats. In this case it was a Ranger aluminum, and apparently it makes all the difference... This is according to a guy who has a sponsorship by the jackplate company keep in mind. Lol
  9. Hopefully it doesnt mess up Simcoe for the weekend too bad!
  10. But with the premium subscription i suppose you get these updated maps as they become available.
  11. Pretty sure it says in description that its not available yet in Canada. It uses actual sonar readings from customers boats. When you go to update ur navionics map, it uploads ur data first and uses the info to create better detail... Thats what i understand anyhow. Lol
  12. Thanks for the info! I will be heading out on Sunday with a few buddies, hopefully we can locate the fish. I only make a couple trips a year up there and lately havent had the best results. Lol
  13. Vote them out to vote in a different bunch of doe heads. But regardless and granted there isn't much to choose from we all must vote. We get into a discussion like this sitting in the boat or icehut and guys complain. Asked if they vote and they say no way, I say you don't get to argue. I choose not to vote because i dont agree with the system thats put into place. Until the day i see a politician or party that represents extreme change in our society to serve the people instead of banks and globalist corporations, i will sleep peacefully knowing i had no part of stripping good people of their freedom and well-being. Here is a link of Russel Brand interview that really hits the nail on the head about how i feel about voting. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3YR4CseY9pk#
  14. Hahahaha im sure after this thread every person on BOQ will match your description and be waving to the passing sled. Lol
  15. Hoping to get out this weekend around Trident pt. hoping somebody is familiar with the area and has been recently.
  16. I know Quinte is always considered unstable, but wondering if this two decade record ice on great lakes this year made safe for a snowmobile?
  17. I had an incident a few years ago and i was at fault. From a small 6" scratch on a old sunfire, i received a $1200 bill. Talked to my insurance company without filing a claim, and i was told that i can choose 3 shops (certified) and she had to pick one of them for the repair... It ended up costing me just under $500. And ofcourse she picked the most expensive quote and it was the furthest from her home.
  18. Oh gosh no... Got it used from a friend for a great price, but they retail for $899. Just trying to say the nitro is a great unit even when compared to these high end units. The craftsmanship om the normark is amazing tho. There isnt even any exhaust fumes. And it cuts amazing with the 10" blade and the little 27cc motor!
  19. That nitro is the best i have ever used. My buddy picked one up last year, and it starts just as easy as my $1000 normark and cuts much faster! Oh yea... gagnons has some jiffy models on sale this week, but IMHO they are useless junk! I have one in my garage rotting away, and a couple guys i know also are not impressed with them.
  20. X2! The spool survived less then 50 casts before i tore it off out of anger. Made a promise to myself not to cheat on my PP last year, as shes always been so good to me. But it always seems like whenever i buy a new reel, i want to try a new kind of line on it... Wasted a lot of $$$ that way!
  21. It all depends on budget and lifestyle. I like both but for different reasons.
  22. My laptop is down right now, cant be viewed on mobile device... But it sure is nice to get a head start this season for sure!
