  1. I think the confusion with new members starts with them having different expectations of a fishing forum. I would imagine a lot of ppl assume it would be a place where people share spots and techniques to catch more fish. From what i noticed here, its more about conserving good fishing spots. Also i would agree that it is mostly common sense, and 90% of people probably have never read the rules. I think that new members here get bullied a little by the old timers and moderators are less tolerant towards newer members. There was a nicer way to deal with the topic and not leave a sour taste in the newcomers mouth.
  2. Recently tried the power team lures "sick stick" worm and the shakey head rig hooks, and they have become my favorite setup. The action they give is really unique and i recommend everybody gives them a try. Has been a really successful technique for me and i think a lot of bass guys would love it. Also got a few really nice eyes this year on them as well on top of weed beds.
  3. Still sell the h20 at sail. But my choice is oakley for the quality
  4. We were looking for a lake more suitable for swimming, but we used to camp Big island on Pigeon years ago without any hasstle. Shame that island is private property now. It was sooo convenient for a fishing outing with the boys. But now my feiend owns Rolling Hills Estates across the pond and is even more convenient. Lol
  5. Ya i think we're going to extend our drive a little bit and find a nice quiet island to set up camp. I want to thank all the great ppl who sent me PMs and even offered private land to camp on. You guys are the best!!!
  6. I had no idea they were smoker hulls up until this year, i always thought Legends were all Canadian made in Sudbury.
  7. Perfectly understandable, i think i might have come across some spots near apsley and bancroft. I just hope they pan out and arent a waste of a long weekend lol.
  8. Thats true, never thought of it that way when i wrote the post. I found OFC very helpful in the past with similar info and figured it was worth a shot and a lot easier then calling up family and friends for days to get helpful information about places i wasnt familiar with. Im sure we will find something, just going to be harder then i though. Thanks for the input tho guys.
  9. What about further north east area? A little further then 2 hours isnt out of the question, just thought we wouldnt have to go that far to find something.
  10. What about islands or portage spots? I find it hard to believe there isnt good spots 200 kms from durham. Even big island on pigeon lake was crown up until recently...
  11. Is this like asking for fishing spots?? Or the 2hrs from gta that make it a crazy question? Nothing near kawartha highlands or maybe a little further?
  12. Last minute decision to go camping with a few friends. Most sites are booked up and regardless, we would prefer crown land camping. Hoping to find a spot maybe 2hrs. From gta with good fishing and swimming for the ladies. Thanx in advance guys!
  13. I have done really good this year on topwaters while fishing for bass in the Bog. Landed some pretty nice skis to my pleasent surprise. Nothing huge... But nonetheless fun!
  14. My Legend actually has a stamp that says smokercraft. And the serial number starts with SMK.
  15. Absolutely love my Legend... 2001 and i have never had an issue. No clie how their welded new models are but the trim work quality in mine is still flawless and have never had a drop of water leak into the boat. Also the layout and storage i still have not come across any other aluminum that i liked better. They all seem much cheaper built, and craftsmanship is unmatched. A month or so ago, we launched our boat at the same time as a couple of fishing show hosts did, brand new Lund predator with massive merc and all the toys... We both also pulled out of water at the same time after about 8hrs, and watched him pull the plug. He was in shock when he saw about a hundred gallons of water bursting out. When we pulled out our plug and didnt have a drop come out, he laughed and said " guess they just dont make them like they used to eh?" On the drive home we followed his trail of water for about 5km. Lol
  16. Reminded me of the time when my insurance company forced me to keep liability insurance on my showcar that was parked in garage and not being driven. They said it was in case "somebody broke into my garage through top window and fell on the car injuring themselves while trying to steal it". You can just imagine the the fury i felt.
  17. Ive had same thing happen when comming across a ratsnest while casting slick 8. That line is poop and i stopped using it. It falls apart much quicker and isnt nearly as strong as regular PP.
  18. Hank takes down walter, goes into witness relocation program for ratting, then hal from malcolm in the middle is born.
  19. Oh cool, it was only 1-4 few days ago. Second half of season five is called "final season" i beleive.
  20. Last i checked it was only 1-4 but season 5 just got released recently so maybe it is now.
  21. I live in the "shwa" and i have had my fair share of stolen items... Biggest being a week old F-150 FX4. Before that we had our vehicles broken into for change, and got me good once for a nice camera, never worn $1000 leather jacket, 600 CDS, and a 500w power inverter. As soon as i put a fake camera in the driveway years ago, never had a single incident. Definetly the best $20 ever spent! Recommend it to everybody!!
  22. Hahaha ya, i certainly wouldnt... But fingerprints are all over them!!!! Man jesse drives me nuts lately!
  23. Gonna make interesting news when residents report stacks on their front porch... CRAZY!!!
