  1. Sorry to hear that Chris. But I can't get my head around any cover up of 3 civilian's. What would be the purpose?
  2. I had the pleasure of vacationing there when I would proudly take my shirt off. The only trolling there is for Milf fish or T. trout. Couldn't help it. But seriously it's in the middle of the desert. You will have to go to the coast like Craig said.
  3. No onions in Carbonara Tom. Maybe. The story I was told by relatives in Italy where the dish was to originate from is this. There were a group of sub contractors per say that travelled from farm to farm. Their job was to remove tree stumps from the fields, by hand. They were called Cafacoke, (spelling terribly incorrect). They travelled very light from farm to farm and cooked in the fields where they slept. Barns were off limits for a number of reasons including being a Gypsy. They always carried dry pasta, garlic, smoked pancetta and cheese which didn't need refrigeration. (onions spoil Tom). They bartered for eggs and cream from the farmer. They cooked it over the stumps of the trees they dug up. There ain't no cheese in anything that says Kraft on it. If you love Parma try Assiago.
  4. I hope you get ice very soon, us too. Once the lake freezes the winds generally subside the massive winds and waves from the south.
  5. I can't stomach them either Fisherman. I couldn't wait to have one and I was so disappointed. Didn't even finish it. I can't imagine how much sugar was in it. Those pics are cool JoPa. Is it just me but the new generation of Law Enforcement seem to have chilled since I was younger . Even when interviewed now they speak like normal people unlike the military like verbiage stone faced they used 30 years ago. Very polite as well now, it wasn't always that way. Maybe it's all the cameras on them.
  6. And I have been told side scan is useless here on Erie. Why wouldn't it be useful here? Especially with planners. Now I know who is full of it, again. I will be in the market this year for new electronics after I heal up. I'll will be going strait to Woodstock. I have talked to Jos a few times and he knows his stuff and doesn't make you feel like an idiot like some places do.
  7. That river reminds me so much of The Ottawa River where we had a hunt and fish camp. It wasn't far upstream of where they white water raft. You don't want a breakdown and drift too far downstream. I don't know if I would venture through the fast water today. I was the only member that didn't take out a prop or worse. There used to be a hat company close by the Susquahanna.
  8. Very nice, fish or no fish. Misfish knows a bit about that, for once. The landscape is just breath taking.
  9. We are hoping 2019 is better than 2018. Lost too many friends and Family last year. It's the cycle of life but it still sucks. We here are hoping all our OFC friends a great year. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone treated every day like it was the Holiday season? I've always said that.
  10. Back at you Kelvin. Lookin' good there.
  11. Very, very nicely done. She's a beauty and a keeper. Being a keeper it doesn't matter if you went above what fair market value of the girl, are you going to flip it soon? I didn't think so. I can tell you she's going to be a head turner at the ramp this coming season. I'm not a glasser guy but if I was she would be a Ranger. Way to go me man, great job!!! I have to add invest some good money into a quality travel or mooring cover. My personal choice is Sunbrella. It will last years and keep her dry. A big mistake people make is thinking a good vinyl floor will keep the water out of the hull, it eventually won't.
  12. Great info for you above. All I can add is get the largest screen in the budget.
  13. Great tale. It's a keeper. There's a word, keeper. Cause you will be telling it for a long time.
  14. I really feel for the guy. I'm surprised they didn't use air bags. That boat was bound to sink on the way back. Strait to the recyclers.
  15. The lake has been as calm as a baby for the last week. Today it is dead clam. Too cold for this old mudder.
  16. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6...………………………….
  17. Just saw this today and must share. No need for words. And they say humans can't fly.
  18. LVTB= Living vicariously through Bunk. I am not worthy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I am not worthy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,We are not worthy.
  19. From a non modern era hockey guy the expertise and knowledge of the game and all the teams from you guys on this board is impressive.
  20. I thought so. Never seen such a huge rack, not on a Deer anyway.
  21. You didn't know the password. I think the bars there closed at 2 or 3 when ours closed at 1. As if we needed more. Always had a designated driver because the OPP set up on the Canadian side of the bridge. A few times us non hunters got back to the cabin when the boys were up getting ready to freeze their butts off hunting for flying chickens. No cell phones then other than the ones the size of a radio that they called in airstrikes with in Viet Nam with the 10 pound battery on a strap.
  22. 8 minutes, perfect. Didn't look too cold that day. I'm freezing and it's plus 7C here today. That self hook set rig looks like it works great. Nothing worse than deep hooking a fish you don't want to kill. Those little buggers sure are spunky pretty too Joeytier. Good going.
  23. Looks more like a Maple tree on it's head. Not sure how I feel about taking a massive animal like that. But I don't hunt. There's no catch and release in hunting. Using a camera is close I guess. Was he too old to breed?
  24. I think you are onto something Dave. No need for it to be sunny or windy. Why not?
