  1. Way to go, G! That's a hefty fish. Glad you throttled Mr. Skunk.
  2. Fantastic fish there, guys! A great first day of the season in the boat as well. Congrats!
  3. That is great news, Brad. Have a great summer!
  4. Way to go, Ron. What a beautiful fish. That'll really help team 5....ummmm, you did have your sign did you?
  5. Tough thing to watch, Simon.
  6. Haven't used it but looking at it and having trouble understanding their pricing structure.
  7. The bottom one in the latest pic is going to Alaska....you're not getting that one Bruffah!
  8. Beauties for sure, Jacques. You got a nice feed there! Dang...don't know why, I see those fish and think 'splake'. Not all of them.
  9. Way to go Bud! Please tell me you're not calling that a 'livewell'
  10. I have a pic of my Dad holding up his 98lb cod of many years ago...caught on a handline and a 16 OZ jig.Beauty morue for sure and one that was spared by the seals. Norway it is. Here's another shot of the Norway fish.
  11. Yup, that's an even better idea, Brian. I hadn't considered that.
  12. I was outside most of the morning south east of Montreal....felt nothing. It went around. It probably didn't want to knock over your bottles.
  13. Lots of these things around. They give you 5" and are made for every conceivable pin connection.
  14. Seriously, I'd move my seat. How much space would you be losing? 4" is not even enough for your knees!
  15. Great report Bud. Now go buy Monique some nice gloves.
  16. Don't kid yourselves. That pike can do nothing against that weasel. We tend to think of otters as cute and playful and yes, they seem to be as we see them sliding down snow trails. The otter can easily break that pike's back with his teeth. The otter can also stay underwater for long periods of time and swim as well if not better than the pike. My money's on the otter.
  17. Oh look! It's a male! Gunna change the number on him when he turns 7?
  18. I'm predicting we'll be seeing some Rex Bunkasaurus soon.
  19. Fantastic shots Joey! I'm really impressed by your work.
  20. There's not much I can do about the people who have left or the people who will someday leave. I like to think that the people who come here do so for information, camaraderie, a smile, fishing news or just to touch base with friends and make new friends. I know that I wouldn't visit a site that I was unhappy with. I also know that us mods put in long hours and get a lot done hoping that it'll make a difference. I'll lock this thread now because it really isn't going anywhere. Thanks ps. JP Bushey is alive and doing very well....you can read of all his good fishing stuff here. http://ontariofishingnetwork.com/2013/hole-sitting-in-hard-times/ Sometimes you have to leave the board for a few minutes to see what's happening with the alumni.
  21. Good stuff, Rich. You worked for it...it's yours!
  22. Ok, I'll go next...the checkered flag in Pic#2. Great photos.
  23. Internet communities grow and change every day. People lose interest, some take a break and show up a month or a year later. Some find a place that's more to their liking. Some even pass away. People often say "Remember the good ol' days?" well, believe it or not, you and I are living them now. Make the best of them.
  24. Very happy for you, Roger. It's a beaut for sure and maxing it out was a good idea.
