Thanks Norm. Great story. The store manager did his job and then some. Kinda sad for the dude to hear of his employer being referred to as "crappy" but he sounds like the type who could rise above that stuff. Merry Christmas to you Mr. Rattray, and thank you.

Need Advice !! Is it worth to upgrade Lowrance units ??
Roy replied to tizfun's topic in General Discussion
In my opinion, going from a 28C or a 102C to an Elite 7 is one heck of a downgrade. -
I got the Grabber AT2's last year...great tires for the price.

Let's just hope that it's not a replay of our '98 adventure.

Active Outages: 485 Affected Customers: 99216 Most are along the Lake Ontario shores down as far as Brockville. Not much around your place Lew....closest is probably Roseneath with 20 or so powerless households. Hydro One reports are upgraded every 15 minutes. Most existing outages are scheduled to be restored later this morning. A very few of them won't be restored before tomorrow.

Norm, did your grandaughter get her surgery yesterday? It looks like a nasty break. Hope it all goes well for her. Here the weather is not good. Heavy snow everywhere. Right now it sounds like the hail will be coming through the skylights at any minute. The lights have dimmed a few times in the last couple of hours. Just J and I here and we don't have to go anywhere. All emergency stuff is ready for use. Jenny and big Bertha are both ready to be fired up. Lots of firewood inside. Expecting 15-30cm more snow today with 20-30mm rain for later this evening. We were going to do a lazy day with ribs in the slow cooker but I don't think the crock pot will be a good option for today. Everyone stay safe and if you don't have to travel today,,,DON'T!

Merry Christmas to you and welcome aboard.

Looks great, Bruce. I'm sure they won't last long. Art, don't call them "sweetbreads" here. Sweetbreads are something entirely different. J loves them, I make them for her but I need a lot of sauce to get them down.

Toronto tonight will be -10C with a windchill factor of -15. Where I am in Boucherville Quebec it is -23C with a windchill factor of -30C......chilly but I've seen much worse. I don't tolerate the cold as well as I once did. Age will do that.

The days of OFC are far from coming to an end, me brudder. The "strange things" happening with this site have nothing to do with the site, they have to do with the browser you're using. In your case I know that it's IE11. That will be fixed with our next upgrade. (I can get more specific with this.) Who owns the site is irrelevant. All of the admins/mods are mandated to answer any question you might have to the best of their ability. Is this a good answer for you?

Think of the bright side.....we'd never have an argument about safe ice with those temps. The only place you'd find 1.5" of ice would be on your coffee.

Removing sewer grates for the purpose of fishing is illegal in all states except Texas.

Very nice Lew! I guess you know the West Arm as well or better than anyone else. Beautiful fish...how did they taste?

For those of you who have had, or are having problems when trying to add a quote or multi-quote to your post, this is where things stand. At the present time, it seems as though things have been repaired thanks to IP boards. It seems that most problems have arisen due to IE11 because there are known problems because of the 3rd party editor that IPB uses. If you are using something else, empty your browser cache and cookies then press CTRL-F5 on a topic reply page to force recache of templates and javascript. Keep us up to date please

Well, my uneducated opinion for tonight is that the Leafs and the Sens should do well with their opponents. The Habs however are in for a hard time.
