  1. Montreal street is a north south artery. Which iron bridge, do you mean the Lasalle causeway? It's south of the 401 and just north of Lake Ontario.
  2. I don't know if you've looked through our sister site. I've stayed at Rob Hyatt's and had good service.
  3. I go with fallfish as well. Don't be putting too much weight in the tubercule characteristic. Many male minnows, aside from donning bright spawning colours, develop those tubercules on theirs heads. They help keep the female in place during spawning.
  4. Great pictures Jon. Thanks for sharing them.
  5. Will it have a common wall with another building (house) ?
  6. Congrats to you Cliff! When's dinner? Sue will be bragging on you all over town now.
  7. In all fairness to the big flat areas, they're spots too y'know.
  8. Are we about done with this thread? I think everyone has put forth their opinion...some more than a few times.
  9. What he said. Just a tarp won't hold the weight of the snow. It's very easy to put a frame under there. While you're at it, it'll only take you a few minutes to jack the trailer up a little and put it on blocks. Your tires will thank you and so will your suspension. Ah what the heck...give your wheels a spin and wobble them back and forth to check that your bearings are ok.
  10. Davey, seriously, you should be looking for the correct method of doing this. You're leaving the upper plug open during the winter? You're supposed to be filling it from the bottom. There must be something I'm not understanding here.
  11. Congrats on the fine day, David. It's really nice to see you and Laker John up and at'em every chance you get. Thanks for sharing your day and as Halloweens go, this is considered a real treat.
  12. Let's not make a big issue of this. If you look at the emoticon on Whitespinnerbait's post you'll notice that not even he believes what he said. The authority recruiting this candidate as a police officer probably made a mistake in their assessment and the clip, now that it's gone viral will surely fix the problem. IMHO
  13. I wish the opposite.
  14. But for ice fishing we call them spreaders.
  15. Mike, I don't think I need to tell you how I feel about your philosophy of life. Great report. You truly are a champion.
  16. I'm curious to know how many of you use your GPS during the soft water season to mark way points that are likely to hold fish during the hard water season. The GPS is an ideal tool for that but I wonder how many think to mark them and write notes to help you while out on the ice.
  17. Sounds like a great time Cliff. Glad you all had a good day.
  18. I haven't had the time to read the entire thread this morning but that Mustang vest will definitely keep your head out of the water. Lew, I defy you to try to get your face in the water while wearing the inflated vest. There's nothing quite like peace of mind however. Buy the vest, take it to an indoor pool and fall in. It will cost you about $25 to do so but the expense will have been worth it. Just sayin'.
  19. I agree.
  20. Probably. It'd depend on the flogging I suppose. A gentle flogging would serve as a lesson.
  21. This barge is about to capsize.
  22. YA, what Dave said. Please note that an auto-inflate would be a bad choice. Lifting his little leg for relief only to have the PFD trigger would cause him to not pee for a year.
  23. You're a tough guy, Dave. It's not everyone who would fish in that weather. Congrats on your 32...she's a beaut! I'm not a betting guy but if I was, I'd bet that your November will be fireworks on the Bay. And Paul, it's as good as it ever was. Every body of water has a few slow days.
  24. I learned something from this thread. I think I just learned the way to Joey's heart. Congratulations Hon. Oh and to you too, Paul. If I can offer one piece of advice...leave only Paul's stuff out in the open for the first few months as the little guy will need to practice his chewing skills. Really happy for you both here. Can't wait to see him reel in his first muskie!!!!
  25. Good choice Lew. I've had that one for 2 years now and I always wear it. Always. I keep my conventional aboard as well. With the auto inflate or manual inflate PFDs, you must be wearing it all the time if it's the only model you have in the boat. And by the way...I KNOW it works and it works well. Edited to add: Don't go testing it every week though or it'll cost you a small fortune in re-arm kits.
