Wow! You guys did great! The weather doesn't look bad at all in those pics. Congrats on what appears to be a superb BOQ outing. Thanks a ton for posting.
Well I don't know about that. I guess you'd have to cross several times at various places to get used to the people who are working there. I guess our best bet is to give them as few hassles as possible.
Look at it this way. If you go out and fish all day.....no bites, but you keep working at it then just before you're about to call it a day you hit a big one. Wouldn't you think that you saved the day and it turned out good cause you got a big one? I think so.
Well Skip....you see, some of us live 700 KMs away....some are probably not waiting around to see if someone will invite them fishing....y'know? But thanks for the offer.
It's kind of ironic that a dude can get charged for fishing without a license, go to court and be sentenced to not being allowed to have a license for a year. Why don't they just leave him alone? He already doesn't have a license!
Thanks to all here, by late Monday evening, November 21, 2011, we will have reached a new milestone in our community history. 65,000,000 hits! That's huge by any standards.
Thank you all for keeping us together.
What did you do to get the brandy? Did you vaporize the alcohol from the elderberry wine? I'm just curious cause I didn't know it got that dark. Sounds like you're right into it.
The fish could have been over 40 pounds. Can't really blame the dude though for being excited. He's a newbie and just learned a very valuable lesson. Never take your enthusiasm to the press...it'll haunt him for the rest of his life. For the sake of this thread though, I'm glad he forgot the net and remembered the camera instead of the other way around.
You certainly can but you can't use powder paints on wood or plastic. For plastic you could use water based colour(s)/patterns such as Createx then topcoat with a compatible finish such as Dick Nite products or Envirotex for example. For wood, you'd want to sand it SMOOTH not rough because the slightest marks in the wood will show through whatever you use. Then use a quality sealer, then good quality water based paints, Createx works well with wood...then topcoat.
Powder paints for jigs, spoons and spinner blades are hard to beat. Best application as far as I'm concerned is dip and/or sprinkle. The powder airbrushes don't impress me at all, in fact I gave mine away. You can load up on the paints themselves though. As far as lead molds are concerned, I think your best bet for price, quality and an almost unlimited variety is luremaking.com (Hepworth, Ontario). I haven't gotten into plastics....I have enough to do. And besides...the stuff REEKS! Good luck to you. Take a look at or download their catalogue if you haven't already.
