  1. I've seen a few Walleye with those tumors, not as many as the one in the picture, but when we caught that one it really made me think twice of eating fish from there. The 3 other guys with me said don't even touch it, we just got the lure out with the pliers and over she went. We probably should have killed it, but I just wanted it out of the boat. Was only a 3 to 4 Lb. Walleye. I talked to one MNR guy and he said it wouldn't hurt you if eaten. He said some northern lakes have the same thing, maybe not as much as that one. I can tell you I'm not that hungry.
  2. My first thought, Why?? Hannibal Lector Is that really you riding that Turtle?? One thing about OFC, the door opens and closes. You can leave, no one here will miss you.
  3. I'm not to fond of the Walleye there also.
  4. Just watch it harry. Do you know the part you would have played. I was surprised he only got 6 years.
  5. Johnny, I've tried Fish Crisp reg. just as a coating, not bad. I like the Gronzy Breading and batter just as a breading, best, but don't add any salt, it's salty enough. Sometimes it's just preference. That Roasted Garlic & Butter sounds good.
  6. Reading other threads, I thought they changed there name to Cracker After all what I've heard, read, I'd run the other way.
  7. Thanks Gerry, No there 18" CTC don't even carry them, they say there special order.
  8. Nice work, for sure.
  9. Just a tip, if you get a to aggressive tread they'll be noisy on the hyway, made that mistake with my Tahoe. I went back to an softer tread. Can't say anything about any brand except DON"T BUY FIRESTONE. I have a Ford FX4 crew now and if I had known how much the tires would be on it, I wouldn't have bought it $350.00 each
  10. Went to Flat's, launched there. Went to the end of old pier nothing, move 4 or 5 times nothing. Tried around Gull Island, nothing, tried Mohawk point, nothing. Tried out deep 45 To 60 FTW, nothing. All places we marked fish. Tried trolling the river, caught a couple Sheephead and one BIG Carp, Guess what, no net . Got the Carp to the boat then reached down to grab the Carp, and snap 6 lb.test , goodbye lure . Went home with tail between legs. My excuse, to early to antsea. That's all folks, someone else's turn.
  11. Walleye, cut their throat' bleed out in the live well, allot cleaner filleting, meat is nice and white.
  12. Thats one nice thread, thanks for posting. Those fish cooking sure looked tasty.
  13. Welcome Buckman, nice Pike. You got to love Georgian Bay
  14. Harry, that would be the end of me or my fishin
  15. Nice Brookies makes my mouth water. Fried eggs, home frys,Brook trout and Green Tomato Chow MMMMMMM Good nothin better than that. Guess I'll just settle for Perch and eggs for Brecky. Pickerels wouldn't be bad either. Thanks for posting, made me hungry.
  16. Kennyman, did you get my PM.? Say hy to your dad for me.
  17. Roy, coffee out my nose. My buddy said I was a sick puppy I expect a call from Spiel. Gezzz that didn't take long, did you see me typing. You like my CTC boutique Rain Wear autographed with Perch white spooch
  18. As mentioned above, I talked to my buddy about Hully Gully, he said there price was right but there service stunk. So there you go. Like I said, I've got 2 Honda's There controls are garbage and the paint gets washed out. Paint on there motors stink, I can't get the water spots off. My 15hp Honda kicker with the remote controls, the gas lever will not keep the trolling speed at a steady RPM, soon as I turn my steering wheel the motor speeds up. Had it back to the dealer and theres nothing they can do. Tried contacting Honda, nothing they will do. Just another Ginypig I guess. Like I said Merc would be my choice now. Suzuki, and Yamaha are very nice but I'd be concerned about service, parts back in the north country. 30 years ago, I would have never said the word Merc. Good luck with your choice. Now I hope my magnets don't fall off
  19. Through them in the garbage. Thats were they'll end up, in land fill. Market Place did a show, they tracked were old battery's went. Out the back door and in the garbage dump.
  20. As you can tell, very wet. We stayed out all day, seems like no matter how much rain gear you wear you eventually get wet. Again lots of small Perch. About every 20 caught 1 keeper. Sunday was better. We saw 1 tag Perch caught beside us by a little girl with her family. You could have heard the excitement across the lake. They pulled anchor and they were gone to the headquarters. Came back an hour latter and anchored. $500.00 tag we could hear the kids say. As of yesterday 15 tags caught. Here's a few pictures. Our buddys trying to stay dry Couldn't resist, "My Pose"
  21. I'd hire Chronz as head CO.
  22. Sorry Harrison, I didn't get back to you. Just got back from pickin Fiddle heads. The small Bull Whip is the wifes and the other I bought at the Police auction. I don't want to part with them. Thanks anyway
  23. Congrats man, my wife is on Champix and so far she hasn't smoked 8 weeks now. She has lost her taste for coffee also. But the snaking is another story. I'll be showing her this post. Look at all the more years your going to fish
  24. Vinnimon Here's just a few I've had given to me and bought over just a few years. Watch how much you pay, Grand total hear is about $40.00 In fact the wooden one in the middle is going to Spiel if he wants it. I had it dropped off just the other day. The bottom 2 are Shimano Bull Whips, top is a steel rod,2nd is a Whirl Away Great Lakes Imperial, 3rd I think it's an ice fishing jigging rod I think you can still buy the rod. The one you just bought, I have a few buddys that have them hanging in there garage.
  25. Dave does it again . I was at the Dofasco Fishing Club meeting last night and Dave Mercer was there speaker. I think this was my 6th.
