  1. Our yearly trip in June we rent a cottage on Big Gull Lake. There's camping spots on the islands around the lake. Big Gull is 85% crown land, not many cottages. To get a camp site you have to see one of the lodge owners, not sure what they charge. We stay at Kirk Kove Cottages.
  2. Jacques I've be waiting for the other process, eats man eats Good video and fish
  3. Plastic or metal, Elect or manual, What weight are your cannon balls, Speed, Swivel Base, Rod holders, Length of cable. Sturdy area your mounting them on.
  4. Thanks for the info Ron. 25 to launch, I'll never be back there. Doesn't make sense to even go there anymore, 80 bucks for gas and 25 to launch just for 2 fish.
  5. Thanks Guys I'd like to get back out, maybe next week. Your right Roy. Fish storage box, water was 48 that day on the surface. Ended with 71 keepers. 13.25" was the biggest. Buddy that was with me was blown away, couldn't believe the fishing and the amount of boats. Gota get down this way Bro. Didn't get out to the group, found a school just in from you guys. I move around with the Electric slowly till we see the school on the bottom then anchor. Sometimes they move a pit, Just have to move 100" or so till you get on them again. I find you have to use the zoom on your finder to see them, very close to the bottom. If you see a red Princecraft with a 50 Honda Tiller just come over and anchor close say hi. There's lots out there for everyone. Should try and get out Phil, Old Pete was with me that day. I guess Murray is going up with Andy & John in June. Wish I was going with the boys. One of these years
  6. Yesterday at Pt Abino Just look at the Pictures, will tell what you need to know. Just don't tell anyone, keep it a secret
  7. Fish to report and that fresh northern air, doesn't get any better than that. From the stinky Hammer
  8. I re-did my bunks month and a half ago with 2X6 Spruce but I looked for good clear boards. That was the same wood that was on my Princecraft trailer but it had so many knots they just rotted, man what these companies just cover with carpet. The new carpet I used was a thicker plush pile. Now I have a hard time power loading or cranking the boat on because of the thick carpet. I'm looking for nylon kick boards from a arena to replace my carpet. I think the carpet holds water and rots the wood. They sell a kit that has a few pieces of nylon to go on your bunks that replace carpet. I think covering the whole bunk would be better than a few pieces, whole bunk, even support.
  9. Spiel ultra light rods catch Sheephead and Muskies. I wanted a ultra Light for Perch and Crappie. I want a refund Now the Walleye rod he made me is another story, have to keep it locked up. Only rod that catches Walleye in our group of 8 guys. Nobody touches that deadly weapon. Spiel, #1 in my book. Linder's, my weapon is not for sale.
  10. I'll be in the narrows for 3 days starting tomorrow. Red Princecraft Holiday with a 50 Honda tiller, 4 guys in the boat. If your there stop by say hi.
  11. Get your minnows at Jacobs on #11. Make sure you take a 5 gallon pail with a air pump
  12. I'll give you a secret, don't tell anyone. Just a hint. Cut a Sabiki rig in half and put yellow Berkley wigglers on the hooks. Works wonders. Sabiki #4 or 6 with Hage skin. You have to doctor up the line to the sinker, add length. Tip: use the rig upside down. Good Luck
  13. That mount would be different Glad your dad is ok. I had my eye out for you at the swap, meet lots of OFC people. Theres always next year.
  14. Your aloud 4 hooks Rizzo $500.00 Pikehunter, plus a big head the next day When we left Wednesday Joey, ice was all gone. We did some celebrating back at the motel
  15. My buddy Bob was lucky enough to catch a tag at the Orillia Perch Festival. He was with a few other buds myself when he caught it. The fishing was great on Wednesday morning till the rain set in, we packed it in and headed home. Now to get back up for a few more days, maybe Tues for a few more days. Way to go Bob. Few happy crew members 2 on one hook
  16. We caught 1 tag on Tuesday, buddys name Bob, on the wall. Fishing was great yesterday. I think were heading back up Tesday for 3 days.
  17. Glad you came over and introduce yourself Chris. My buddy's and myself (old Guy's) were saying see that young guy trying fly's, isn't it great a young kid like that is into fishing, like that, and doing such great work. Glad to meet you Chris, sorry we couldn't have talked more. I saw lots of OFC guys, Brian,Bruce, Hometown, and bought some of the famous salsa from Bruce. Those that didn't go missed a great swap.
  18. Is that launch across from Blue Beacon ( Old Harris boat rental ) open to the public Henry and what are they charging?
  19. Hope the ice will be gone at Fishermans Bay for Sunday
  20. We go every year to Big Gull Lake first week of June. Lake is 85% crown land. I don't know what it's like after that. Camp resorts look after the crown land camping spots, lots are on Islands. We fish for eater size Walleye, but you have to work for them. Lake is near Kaladar. We stay at Kirk Kove Cottages.

  22. You would be surprised want they cover up with carpet and plywood, Some of the workman ship I've seen on Princecraft and Lund Boats under the floors is unbelievable for what you pay for. And we as customers are their Guinea Pigs.
  23. I'll stick to Perch Lew. Have you ever eaten a Muskie Lew? I know you've caught 100's. Just the smell of them would turn me off eatin one.
  24. Myself Rizzo, I liked the Navigator because of the big livewell and with a Yamaha. Problem now there making boats with this stupid rod locker down the middle of the boat and making these small livewells you can only put a couple small fish in. Myself, a big livewell is great for fish recovery, Tournaments, and a fish cooler. Like, how many rod storage places do you need. I even see there putting bigger livewells in the stern, there is enough weight in the back of the boat now with motor, batteries, fuel, etc. The amount of money you pay for a boat, they should have livewell options. I'd like to see them put a big muskie, pike, Salmon in those dink livewells.
