CAT TREATS....you're feed those tasty crappies to friggin CATS... I going to report you to....to....to someone....I know there a law against this....there must be...RIGHT...
-
The Honda Ridgleline is a great mid size almost truck....if you decide on getting one make sure you hook your boat up and fill it with money on the way to the dealer....those puppies are EXPENSIVE...
-
Tee shirt weather in April that far up....it don't get no better then that....well some tasty walleye help...
-
The Taco doesn't get much better then my Tundra....that's why I went with the full size V-8 truck.....once you have a V-8 it's hard to go back to a silly six....until it's time to fill up...
-
I did this 27 years ago on my boat....I did not use marine wire though....I used 16 gauge wire to the fuse panel....off that panel I have a compass light, dome light, horn, cigar lighter, VFH radio and two Lowrance LMS 520C units running off of it...everything has been on at the same time, except maybe the cigar lighter which is used to light my cigars and power my Minno-Mizer aerator. Make sure you make good connections and you should be fine. Bob

12 gauge sounds a bit large....what are you wiring.... 16 and 18 gauge should do it depending on what you are doing....are you running a main line from the battery to a fuse panel where multiple components will run off of it....if so then I could see 16 gauge or maybe 14......but not 12.

Tell them you lost the boat and can't remember what lake you launched it on....but it had lots of water everywhere and there were pine trees along the shoreline and then ask if they might know where it is and how you can get it back.... Or you can just send me the money and I'll waist it on something....

I paid $28 each 3 years ago for those tire sizes and that included mounting and balancing at Fox Tire on William Street in Buffalo....they are P175/80R/13 that are actually car tires.....if you don't have a heavy boat they work much better then trailer tires.....the last set lasted me about 10 years (from Sam's Club)....but hard to find unless you do the conversion now. I went to several tire dealers here and they kept trying to sell me trailer tires...but I did that 3 times...they don't last very long....so I called around and Fox Tire gave the quote over the phone and I couldn't believe my ears....got the guy's name and did a B line down there.... Now if your boat is heavy the side walls might not be strong enough for the application....so do the math as the weight is marked on each tire....if you have clearance you could move up to a wider tire to gain more carrying weight per tire.......or pay the piper and get the over priced trailer tires.

Now I got to get to Autozone and get some Seafoam.....
-
OH MY Roy....I'm impressed... ....how do you find time to fish.....
-
Seafoam is so good I now use it to marinate my fish before I grill them......
-
YES, I heard you wear glove when baiting up with worms....and even have a pair ready in case someday you catch a fish....
-
Sinclair......I didn't forget about you.....so I have to ask you something I know your qualified doing....and I don't mean what kind of pocket pal do you like.... So.....how do you do these multiple quote things....
-
Sage you say, huh......OK will try to get some seeds....the wife doesn't like it but I do.......when every I hear sage I keep thinking about all the silver sage that we seen when we went out west in '06....is this the same stuff.....if it is is should be free and that is all that is growing out there now after the great drought they encountered. And THANK YOU for your time responding.... Bob

LOTS of great info here......THANK YOU.....I printed it out for future references....my dad had a green thumb....but back then I was too busy chasing skirts and fish to learn gardening....
-
Thank You Sir........ I don't have any good southern exposure windows so I have to do it outside......it sounds like it's too early right now......maybe I'll just put in some lettuce for now....what about the cilantro...any idea how early to get it going.....my parsley lasted the winter and is already 5" and that stuff spreads fast...
-
I didn't want to mention that until I got my needed info....

There are a LOT of opinions here and you know what they say about them... I will only speak from experience..... My 2002 V-6 Ford Escape with a tow rating of 3500, towed a 3000 lb pop up trailer (weight is fully loaded) out west to Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Pikes Pike, Zion NP, Bad Lands, Mt Rushmore, etc...crossed the continental divide TWICE......without any issues whatsoever......but I did add another tranny cooler before doing this trip...the Escape with tow package already had on extra tranny cooler..... If your pushing the limits of your tow vehicle I would highly recommend a tranny cooler.....you can install it yourself for about $150......CHEAP tranny insurance.... On the stopping concerns.....just add electric brakes if you suddenly feel this new vehicle cannot handle the job......about $300 Or you can get a full size truck that will cost you more and more each time you fill up......if you go that route the Toyota Tundra is highly recommended by Billy Bob...... Good Luck in your new vehicle venture and let the good deal gods be in your favor...... Bob

I want to plant from seed a herb garden this year......in the past I have grown parsley and dill......but this year I want to add the following....and the ground is already tilled and ready to go....so if you know when I can throw in the seed please let me know.....I'm only about 10-12 miles east of the Peace Bridge if that helps.....much warmer here then on the lake shoreline. Basil Oregano Rosemary Thyme Cilantro

Getting governments to do the right thing is not always a easy thing to accomplished.....and mind you I don't have the back ground of what the dividing line is with regular Canadian citizens and the Native Canadian citizens...but if it's anything like down here where the natives do NOT contribute in any tax base because they live on the res but then want the benefits from the tax base....well that's a hard sell wouldn't you think....and IMHO that is something that keeps us divided and is a barrier from being united to not only benefit ourselves but also the environment. And many politicians on both side of the issue like it this way.....believe it or not.

Looking at this from A FAR all I can say is Nipissing at one time had a GREAT reputation down here......MANY anglers would drive the 7-8 hours to spend a long weekend or week on Lake Nipissing.......I no longer hear anyone making that trip......why....well the word has been out for some time now that the lake just doesn't produce enough walleyes to make it worth while.....now we have this other lake that was basically in the same shape as Nipissing when Nipissing was producing......it's called Lake Erie.....all the states on this side of the boarder bought out and or banned the gill nets....Lake Erie now produces good catches of walleyes again.....does anyone here see a parallel with these two lakes... My next question to Crosshairs would be, if the walleye fishing completely crashes on Lake Nipissing, do the natives have rights to move on to another lake.......

The narrow flutter spoons on the top as far as spoons......but I would get some stick baits for trolling the shallow right now.....Browns are in very close and with either inline boards or Great Lake boards you should be trolling in 6-12 feet of water using straight stick baits like Rapala's and even J-9's for water over 10' deep....Jointed Rapala's go deeper....orange and blues are good colors to start with...

This was a big issue in the State of Wisconsin a few years ago....I really don't know how it ended but here's what I remember reading.. Native Americans were spearing walleyes during the spawn...they cited treaties from a hundred years ago or more that guaranteed them that right as this was their traditional way to harvest these fish at this time of the year...OK....but they were using modern equipment/methods to do it....they were spearing at night using metal three prong pitch fork spears while wearing high powered head lamps to spot the fish and using electric trolling motors to move about....nothing traditional in this kind of fishing even with the most liberal minded person..... I know many sportsmen clubs were up in arms there but I never heard how this was resolved.
