Oh OK, I thought it was about me driving in the center lane yesterday....
-
I owned a 2001 Saturn Coupe (son now owns it) and it needed a hanger for the muffler near the tail pipe....no big deal I thought....went to Auto Zone and they were not sure if they could produce the right part but they would order it and in 5-7 days it would be here.......I thought by then, the rest of the exhaust system could be damaged.....so I called the dealer where I purchased the Coupe......I was quoted $51.....I thought that was a LOT OF MONEY for something Auto Zone quoted me for $22...but I said OK and I'll be right down to pick it up...... So I get there and low and behold the part is right on the counter but I have to wait for the guy to wait on me......while waiting I look at the part and the invoice on the counter.....it was the EXACT part I needed but had a invoice made out to a local Ford dealer for the cost of $17.....so when the "guy" came to wait on me I just stood back and waited for "my price of... $51"....that's when I picked up the part and invoice sheet on the counter and demanded the same price....well, around and around we went....finally I said "I purchased 3 vehicles from you guys, how many did this Ford Dealership purchase from you guys".....I finally got my part for $17 and NEVER purchased another GM product again.... BTW this part wasn't even worth $17....a glorified piece of sheet metal banding with a mounting bracket welded to it.....their cost....no more then $5 at most. Bob

You guys are picking on many of my family members.....

It sounds like you kept asking too many people for permission until you heard the expected "NO"

Based on your taste they don't make a good cup of coffee......however, a business doesn't become the largest in it's own industry by not making a good product....my only problem with Starbucks is the cost.....even their beans from Sam's Club are about $9.50 per lb.....so this time I purchased Sam's Club brand...it's a French Roast and I tried it the first time today....ground just enough for a couple of days and put the remaining beans in the freezer...it was DELICIOUS.... Everyone has their own taste when it comes to coffee....Drifter says he likes Dunkin Donuts for his coffee....I think it's weak, too weak for me....Tim Horton's here is a big hit and I like it....but I only purchase coffee one day a week while driving on Tuesday's....Since Starbuck's don't have drive thru service here I choose either Timmy's or McDonalds....and with McDonalds selling coffee for only .79 per any size cup....you can guess where the Redneck will be found...LOL
-
Oh, us Redneck's use the French press to make coffee....get two Frenchy's at gun point and have them press the beans together.....

I heard Saeco makers come with a disclaimer.......

A history lesson for you Missfish...... Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX) is an international coffee company and coffeehouse chain based in Seattle, Washington. Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse company in the world, with 19,555 stores in 58 countries, including 12,811 in the United States, 1,248 in Canada, 965 in Japan, 766 in Great Britain, 580 in China and 420 in South Korea, for an increase in 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.7%, 0.3%, 2.1% and 4.2% since April 5, 2012, respectively.[1] Starbucks sells drip brewed coffee, espresso-based hot drinks, other hot and cold drinks, coffee beans, salads, hot and cold sandwiches and panini, pastries, snacks, and items such as mugs and tumblers. Through the Starbucks Entertainment division and Hear Music brand, the company also markets books, music, and film. Many of the company's products are seasonal or specific to the locality of the store. Starbucks-brand ice cream and coffee are also offered at grocery stores. From Starbucks' founding in later forms in Seattle as a local coffee bean roaster and retailer, the company has expanded rapidly. In the 1990s, Starbucks was opening a new store every workday, a pace that continued into the 2000s. The first store outside the United States or Canada opened in the mid-1990s, and overseas stores now constitute almost one third of Starbucks' stores.[4] The company planned to open a net of 900 new stores outside of the United States in 2009,[5] but has announced 300 store closures in the United States since 2008.[6]

Starbucks is good....expensive but good.....no other coffee shop even comes close to the number of coffee shops Starbucks has.....they even roast their own beans....

The lake I intend to fish has both....walleye and "CHAIN Pickerel" The pickerel makes great smokers while the Walleye makes a great fryer....not as good as perch and no where as good as crappies.
-
One of NYS Finger Lakes on May 5th.....
-
Depends on the lakes you fish.....side can with a weedy lake is not much good. IMHO I think we are all spending WAY to much money on this stuff.....side scan, down scan, up and over scan all amounts to the same...if the fish are not biting, your not catching.... Good Luck on your decision, Bob

Pike Slayer.......I like that name and will continue to work on this....but again, we need a local Canadian on the north east shoreline of Lake Erie (where you are only limited by your bait bucket) to help make this happen.

Never seen that disclaimer on our air waves.

You blame it on the umpire....that is what everyone else does....(I umpired for many years).

GREAT CRAPPIE REPORT....by far my favorite fish to catch and eat..... You wanna trade perch for crappies...I'll give 2 for 1.... and maybe even trade spots... Thanks for taking the time for all the pics and info... Bob

My suggestion would be a trip to Harrisburg, PA for BPS and then on the way back a stop at Hamburg, PA for one of the largest Cabela's stores on the planet....265,000 sq feet of sportsmen's delight.....the BPS in Harrisburg is in a mall where the Cabela's store is a stand alone store in the country.....it has 2 restaurants in the store....get a smoked turkey sub....taste just like roast beef but better for your heart...makes a great road sandwich for the ride back to N.F. NY If you need more help, PM me...always glad to help a Canadian cousin...

Are you sure you will be at the NF Airport and not the Buffalo/Niagara International Airport... If it's the NF Airport then my fist stop would be Rainbow Sports in North Tonawanda, NY...but call first for their limited hours do to a recent death.....this store is very deceiving as it goes almost all the way to the next block behind it.....and it has all the OLD stuff you can't find anywhere else. It's like going back in time. 267 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda, NY (716) 692-7510 Gander Mountain would now be the next store on the way towards Buffalo....lots of stuff....but no customer support....you have to check out at the customer service desk... 880 Young Street Tonawanda, NY 14150 716-743-2300 And finally at the Galleria Mall right off the I-90 is Dicks Sporting Goods....if you google it DON'T just type in Dicks.... BTW the BPS store in Auburn, NY is over 100 miles to the east of NF NY....take the NYS Thruway (Rt I-90 east) and get off exit 41...south on Rt 414 to east on Rt 318 to east on Rt 20/5 to BPS....
