G..lander, those fish are a bit off bottom for my liking...how did you do in that school ? ? ? Here's what I look for.....

Gloves.....no gloves......who cares when you guys are on the computer on a nice Sat/Sun instead of ... Go CATCH a fish first....then worry about...

My fishing buddy is a outdoor writer so "HE" counts everything....

I seen it done on the Discovery Channel about a year ago..... They took ANY kind of fish they could get....if big they would cut it up in smaller pieces.....throw it in a HUGE round concrete vat and cover it for 1 year in the sun....then after one year they would open up a spic-it at the bottom of the vat and let the nasty stuff run through a filter and into a bottle....and there's you fish sauce...

I did one trip to Nakina years ago........total of 8 guys....NO BAIT.....1080 walleyes caught and 243 pike were caught... Our best lure was a 1/8oz all black bucktail jig.....but Mister Twisters also worked very well.....so a few dozen 1/8 and 1/4 once black jigs and you all set..... BTW I don't think they would allow minnows from a outside source... Now Go Catch a Fish, Bob

If he's coming all the way from Ohio he would be bypassing the best walleye fishery in the world...and that of course would be Lake Erie...both Erie and Quinte are mostly fished by trolling....maybe he doesn't want the boat to catch the fish and take turns reeling in a fish that sometime feels like a wet rag. My point is it doesn't make any sense driving by the complete south shoreline of Lake Erie to do basically the exact same kind of fishing at the Bay of Quinte. I know from my experience, I am tired of dragging around lures for Lake Erie walleyes....that's why I would rather fish for perch on Erie.....but jig fishing the small lakes in northern Canada for walleyes get's me arching....
