  1. I prefer vacuum packing it and freezing it.... For a easy and Great recipe for Goose........ Cut in about 1" cubes....(breast meat) Soak in Italian Dressing overnight Cut hot/sweet peppers into 1" cubes Put goose meat into the cut peppers and wrap in bacon.....place on skewers and BBQ on the grill......drink Cold Canadian Beer until ready to eat...ENJOY.... THIS IS A BIG HIT AT DEER CAMP... Any moose meat should be sent to me to inspect....
  2. It don't get no better then that.......
  3. NOW we need a 3 page thread on how to retrieve....after all this is what holds up the launches....
  4. grimsbylander and OR dave524..... Are you guys still on board with this SPRING FISHING FLING.......I think this could grow each year......
  5. Either way...........just don't get the hubs wet...
  6. It's too small and skinny for a Lake Erie perch...
  7. That rainbow is definitely NOT a steelhead...all rainbow there.....so no worries about keeping it... Now that 4th picture....the silhouette....that has to be Woody Woodpecker holding a fishing rod....
  8. If Cabela's in Canada is like it is in the U.S.A. then I wouldn't worry about the inventory that a local Cabela's has.....you can go online or call them and order ANYTHING they have and Cabela's will ship it to your local store where you can pick it up at zero shipping cost to you.....you can't beat that with a Ugly Stick.... I have been in 3 different Cabela's throughout the country and I still prefer shopping online. We don't have a local Cabela's and I hope we never get one in NYS....right now I get FREE shipping on anything and I NEVER have to pay sales tax because Cabela's doesn't have a store in NYS. And as far as hunting being bigger up in the Canadian prairies.....well actually hunting makes more money for any store that sells both....I never thought that was true, but it is.....guys spend a lot of money on hunting......for example......you can up to a fly/drive/boat camp and fish there for lets say $1000 per man per week.....go to that exact same camp to hunt and it will be closer to $4000 per man per week....OUCH...that is one reason I have never gone on any of these hunting trips....been on many fishing trips but never for hunting....all my hunting has been local....but I am going on a snow geese trip in PA come Feb. Like I said......shop online and have your local Cabela's store ship it in for FREE....my favorite four letter word...
  9. The key in my boat stays in the boat all the time.......while in the garage, while trialling it and while it's in the water...Why would I remove it.... My plug hasn't been removed in 27 years......don't understand why someone needs to remove it......unless you don't have a bilge pump... I don't require a boaters card...
  10. If you can't afford a couple of these... Then get make sure you have some room for a few of these...
  11. Yep.......picture #2 in the upper left part of the tree.

  15. Sylvan is just going back to their roots...... "Sylvan Marine traces its history back to the late 1940s, when it was founded as a pontoon and houseboat manufacturer near Sylvan Lake in Wolcottville, Indiana. The company was purchased in the early 1970s by Harold Schrock, whose father founded Starcraft back in 1903. Today, the Sylvan brand is part of the Smoker Craft Family of Products and continues to be known for high quality, innovative pontoons and aluminum fishing boats. We invite you to experience the pride of owning a Sylvan - and becoming part of our family’s tradition".
  16. I fish to EAT fish...... My selective harvest starts as soon as I pull my boat out of the garage, as I am going either Walleye, perch, crappie and very occasional salmon fishing......I don't target mushies or bassstards....LOL.......they taste like If you don't like it, don't follow me out in the morning because you might catch something... You catch release guys crack me up sometimes......why not take off all your hooks from your baits......or at least take off all treble hooks.... when I salmon fish I never use treble hooks.. We have met the enemy and it's US..............divide and conquer, P3TA must love this thread... BTW it's not our fellow Sportmens that threaten our fish resources... IT'S THE KILLING GILL NETS THAT ARE YOUR ENEMY..... Bob
  17. I towed a 3000k+ pop up camper all over the USA and thru Canada back in 2006 with my 2002 Ford Escape that had a V-6 engine.....and that included going over the continental divide twice....that's over 11,000 ft in elevation...went through Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, ND, SD, MO, Arizona, etc...we did 17 states including Ontario and travelled 6,500 miles in 30 days....your cutting the Ford Escape WAY too low on what it can tow....but of course I had electric brakes on the camper.
  18. Yep.........I Guess with all the electronics and much more knowledge, today's anglers don't know how to catch fish like they did back in the 50's, 60's and 70's....... .....can't understand why there are slot limits now and not back then.......
  19. VERY GOOD observation.......
  20. It could be a Setter.............like a Curb Setter......
  21. ALL Canadian......
  22. Looks good Paul, and a boat we could use next month.....
  23. SIMPLE SOLUTION.......just have a Lake Nipissing fishing stamp for lets say $5 per year and all the proceeds go to the natives....they get their money and the fishermen get there fish.
  24. BINGO.........almost every year there is a fish kill off on Lake Erie because of water temps, etc.......and there is NO MINING being done here.....
  25. I have towed all over the U.S.A. and Canada including going over the continental divide twice......I have had Chevy, GMC and Ford trucks and SUV's, but my best by far has been this brute of a towing machine.... My 2007 Toyota Tundra......
