Forrest, wah wah?? we do not need to take the "strangers" word for it as we can identify the size of the fish from the picture. So if you are unable to judge the size, then just say nice fish and be happy that someone shared a catch of a lifetime. No need to ask for proof or measurements as this will not change the size of the fish. Just enjoy the pictutre and dream the dream of catching one this big.

Very Very nice fish there. Good on you for releasing it. You now have a chance to go back and catch the girl again next year. I can say without a doubt that if I had caught her, the circle of folks that actually see the picture would very small indeed. The reactions are just that, reactions. Lew is absolutely correct in stating that most have never held a 50+ inch muskie and belive me, you want that girl back in the water ASAP. I had one turn and try and bite me. This is the reason that most of us crazy muskie guys go out in the late fall. The worse the weather the better. Sad that the year is coming to a close but now we can dream about this and other fish in the coming new year.

Nice fish, hopefully they are still biting in a couple of weeks.

Great times as usual Lew. We know the waters a lot better now and we will hit that weed bed first ,the next time out. Off to lake St.clair on Friday, calling for SW winds and 17 degrees in Windsor, awesome muskie weather.

Very good topic. Now that the cold weather is upon us, we have to ensure that we are safe out there. I wear my floater suit during this time of year. When fishing the Niagara, I will wear the lifejacket when I am moving at speed.

I will be going to Corwall in a week from now and I am so excited that I was sitting in my boat last night looking over the map of Lake St.Francis for areas that I consider to hold Muskies. Waypoints were marked and I have to do now is wait for the 24th to roll around. I will be there from Saturday the 25th until the 29th or 30th. I have plans to fish with my brother on the 25 th and 26th but I am free from the 27th to the 29th. If anyone wants to hop in with me on any of those days you are most welocme to join me. bumble bee suicks Black and Orange spinner baits IE: grim reapers work well for me in line spinners: Again the black and orange work well. Also I find that the purple blue black combos with gold colored or silver colored blades work well too. Now that the water is getting colder and the sunlight is diminishing, a slower retrieval will provide you with better hookups, same goes for trolling, troll slower, 3MPH instead of 5 MPH.
