  1. super nice tiger! I have been bit by the "small musky bug" so far this year as well, glad to see I'm not the only one
  2. small gel battery is all I ever used when I had a pull start engine.
  3. hahaha good one Roy
  4. I had a small motor like that for years and never used a transom saver. No problems.
  5. how many guesses am I allowed to make?
  6. Zoinks! Nice fish. Maybe 47 or 48? Either way its a beauty
  7. you think the body of artwork is impressive, wait til you see her crank those double 12's in for 4 hours straight no breaks
  8. aren't there enough lakes with pike in them already? Sheesh (big fish though, nice catch)
  9. Awesome! Looks like you guys had a great time.
  10. Please excuse my ignorance, but what the flip is a redblack? There must be something in this world called a redblack that I am unaware of, or did they really just put 2 colours together (ie The Ottawa PinkPurples)
  11. ...what he said. That's a pike.
  12. I did my part...just got back from a trip to Balsam and caught a pike that had to be close to 40 inches. We ate the stinky beast.
  13. I do enjoy the show, but wish he would keep it to more "tropical" destinations and unusual species. When he starts to talk about 6 foot killer pike and deadly tarpon it seems silly to me. Talk about some bizarre fish I've never heard of and I might believe that it could be dangerous.
  14. some stinky bass farted and they are getting their nose out of the water
  15. yup she's a beaut....I have a picture of me posing with a decent musky and I'm exhibiting a similar awkward grip. I set the fish briefly in the water to change the positioning of my hands and BAM she took off 110 miles an hour! Never got a good pic but there is one fish you know survived the battle!
  16. I would say both Canal and Mitchell are riddled with pike. Personally I would go to mitchell (because its closer to "kawarthas" and catch and keep as many as i was allowed)
  17. ...and if you can crack a smile out of her you da man! I have a buddy who is a good lookin dude, and a major flirt. He flirts with all ages and sizes. And I mean ALL ages and sizes. Just loves to make the lady's day. He doesn't flirt with her, sometimes doesn't even get out of the car...pretends like he's sleeping. We used to have a hoot chatting with the former "belle", now its just all about the bait. Get yer bait, get the heck out. Get back in car and laugh about the glare.
  18. hahaha like you would post that Lew! You know that your 60 inch fish doesn't look any bigger than 58.
  19. Good luck Pete. Rememeber, never look her directly in the eyes and speak with confidence....she can smell fear. And when you leave, back away slowly. Remember, never run.
  20. me so confused...time to start reading all the threads I guess. And here I thought a 60 inch musky was caught at Lakair
  21. nice call pete...never thought of the shore lunch chronzy angle. I just thought they meant when you mention the chronzy name you get a heated debate, kind of like the "invasive pike" debate
  22. came as advertised! I usually went through about 10 litres in a day of fishing, sounds like the same for you
  23. ...and jigger gets it all started. Any size?
  24. was the only one I ever caught on a musky bait before. Probably took 2 swipes because it was hard to fit even the hooks in its mouth never mind the bait
  25. I was fishing a big nitro glider bait up there once for muskies off a rocky point. Had a fish absolutely smash it....missed it...came back for another swipe and this time it was fish on. What power, had to be at least a mid 40's musky I'm thinking...nope big ugly giant sheephead. Had to be over 10 pounds (although I admit I did not weigh it).
