its hard to trade Toskala and come out on top because we just gave up a first round pick for the guy, and probably a pretty darn high one at that! Would someone else give you a first round pick for him? Maybe, but even if they did, it wouldn't be as high a pick as the one the Leafs gave up to get him.

was my "opa" (dutch for grandfather). never even fished with my dad until the year before he died....he wasn't in to that sort of thing but we had a real nice day for the one time he did go

I use 150 lb. Never been bit off but have had to replace some after getting nicked. I've tried 50 lb for pike and have been bitten off.

I went fishing! Went to the Barrie marina and caught absolutely nothing for an hour and a half of trying. Spoke to some people who had been there much longer with nothing or 1 or 2 dinks to show for it.

I'm right there with you Bud. Also get out only 20 times or so (haven't been out since New Year's day...but I'm hoping this afternoon)! Wife also thinks I fish too much. Apparently not even half as much as people around here.

I hope Terry is on to something. I asked the same question a couple of months back and dead bait on bottom seemed to be a lot of people's preference. Last time we went out I put half the lines with dead bait on bottom and half with live bait (big shiners, suckers). We didn't get a single hit on the dead bait, but caught several pike on the live bait. Obviously this was early in the season. I was definitely disappointed in the dead bait results, but many people swear by it. Based on Terry's info I'll try it again in a month

I've seen firefighters do this in small towns...now how do you say no to that? I don't. Just like the kids who sell me chocolates, I give them some money. I am blessed to have what I have, and don't mind sharing it for the right causes. But I gotta admit, if I didn't want to give, it would be pretty darn hard to say not to those guys blocking the street that come right up to your window!.

Very little doubt I'm one of the biggest fans, saw them MANY times, followed them around southern Ontario each summer. Even got me a beauty Ramones presidential seal tattoo many years ago. If you go on tour Cliffy, heck I'll go as long as you promise me its all Ramones all the time.

I'll admit I'm a sucker. Every time those chocolate bar kids or chocolate almonds etc come to my house I buy at least one. The way I see it they are at least trying to earn some $$$ rather than playing video games or hanging out at the mall up to no good. It may be annoying, but I'd rather they hock some chocolates than try and steal my hood ornament from a parking lot.
