  1. Lew, I'll sell you mine...for the right price
  2. the fans in Boston must be ecstatic about how crap the leafs are. I know I would be if one of the worst teams in the league gave me their next 2 first rounders - seriously, would anyone in their right mind make this trade? I would do it for a top 10 player in the league...but not for a guy who had one good season, and that playing with a fantastic set-up man in Savard
  3. and deep
  4. boil them in water until albino white, then add ketchup
  5. ..which in that area would be the Atherley Arms
  6. great looking fish! nicely done and congrats on your pb. From a fellow team 9'er I hope you got another photo...if not go catch a bigger one!

what's the retail cost on these reels? My wife may need a Christmas "suggestion"
  10. Congrats to you and the mrs. One fine looking daughter, I think we all know where the looks came from
  11. Big difference between the two. Those great lakes fish have some real nice spots...maybe a "leopard musky"! The niagara musky was also about 6 inches shorter than the kawartha fish I'd say, but probably weighed 5 pounds more. Guess that's what you get from dining on suckers/trout rather than perch and pickerel
  12. whatever that is, its a pretty severe case of it. Maybe should have taken a bit of sandpaper to the little guy
  13. guilty
  14. being cold-blooded, I'd say these cool frogs were as cold as the air around them. Personally, never tried to catch one on rod/reel though so can't help you with a frog rod
  15. GCD you are too much...those are my fingers you're seeing, not a bum.
  16. hahaha...I kind of agree with you though. I do very little trolling, only when I'm too cold to do anything else! Nothing better than casting and hooking into a musky on a short leash. I will admit that these were two of my lesser favorite muskies caught. The Kawartha fish made one jump within seconds of being hooked and then rolled in the line...it got all tangled up and couldn't fight. On the positive side it wasn't tired at all and took off like a shot on the release! The niagara fish too took off great too. It also made one jump, then basically swam right to the boat and into the net! I told my partner to watch out with the net as I expected it was just playing possum and would suddenly wake up, but never did. Kind of a strange thing to watch this fat little fish swim right to you and into the net! Guess he's done it before
  17. Hard to avoid the obvious pun, but I've never been a believer in the believer. Have dragged it around the niagara every fall in a perch finish banging bottom without success. With the stained water I took out my gaudiest looking bait (the chartreuse believer) and let it go for a swim. Surprise surprise 2 fish in two days on it.
  18. Thanks Roy for helping get my photo gallery figured out. Got out last Friday to the Kawarthas in rainy conditions. On the water by 8 am and fished until 3. No luck casting so tried trolling, this skinny little guy hit a chartreuse believer in about 15 feet of water. Water temps were at 53 degrees. This fish was the only action we had for the day. Then managed to sneak out Thanksgiving day for a few hours in the morning on the upper niagara. Was a little nervous about water clarity because its been so windy. Pretty pleased to see visibility of around 3.5 feet. Water temps were 57 degrees. Launched at Netherby where there was a big dead trout in my way. After avoiding the stinky carcass, motored up to Frenchman's creek and started working my way back to the launch. This fish also hit the chartreuse believer, which is quite surprising considering I almost never use it...although that is going to change! Fished about 4 hours, then had to pack it in to load up on turkey.
  19. somewhere on this site! I thought in the past if I went to My controls and then clicked on my album it would show all my pictures, now nothing is popping up when I click my album
  20. Got out fishing twice on the week-end, uploaded the photos but now can't seem to open my album now. Is there a problem or is it me?
  21. oh yeah, the braid I use is 80 lb and leaders 150lb
  22. I says pardon? anywho, I prefer the braid for trolling with a leader at least 36 inches in length. I like the braid because it shows me the action of my lure, and gives a good hookset just from momentum of boat/fish. Long leader because you want to be bouncing around down there in the rocks/zebra mussles, and fall fish (at least for me) have a habit of rolling themselves up in the line. Not sure if that answered your question
  23. rriigghhtt...because Montreal is the standard to measure other teams against. Other than beating the Leafs they only have one win! Saying the Leafs looked good against Montreal is like saying I should enter my Hyundai Pony in Nascar because I nearly beat a Dodge Neon at a stoplight.
  24. good for you. Most people put away the topwaters after labour day but you proved they can still be effective!
  25. at least if they had a shot to get the #1 draft pick there would be something to be excited about. Now there is nothing.
