  1. Recipe seems very good...I'll try it with some Walleye. RFS
  2. Gills...? Gill are for Fish as Alveoles are for Humans. They are used to extract O2 from the H2O to survive....They only work in one direction..kinda like a check valve. Follow the Gill plate and ..as much as possible stay away from the Gills...If' You've cut your fingers You've gone too far.
  3. Let's start off by saying "WELCOME ABOARD THE BOARD" !!!! Honesty and Integrity are traits that someone acquires . Hope you stick around...Good on you. If ever I lose anything of value I hope that someone like you finds it. Can't really help you with the find.......but if there are no takers you can get an inexpensive spinning combo and start a new way of angling. CHEERS right back to you!! RFS
  4. Red Teck ..Ultra Tacky.....about 7.00/ tube. AMAZING stuff NOT to be used in WINTER dissipates heat like no other. Awesome for wheel bearings. I sell cases of the stuff to the Marinas and Truckers , Farmers or anybody who may need a Lube Job. RFS Happy Lubing!!...Remember to wipe the NIPPLES clean afterward ...If you don't , the NIPPLES tend to collect debris ... You might accidentally inject unwanted particles into the movements upon your next Lube Job.
  5. Congrats!!! Very Nice!!! and close to home for me..... And for the "MUSKIE NUTS" he's holding it properly!! Once again ..Congratulations on a BEAUTIFUL specimen. RFS

  10. SEAFOAM!!!!!!! EH ! "B" where ya been? RFS
  11. here ya go !!! .... now all you need is a motor and a trailer or a roof rack!! http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...c=34675&hl= RFS
  12. 12 foot aluminum with a 6-8 hp......Get it just as cheap as the zodiac or the canoe. Eh?. Way more versatile. When it comes to a Zodiac well you have very little stowage ..so if the "Z" is 5' wide you have a huge pontoon on either side that holds air ... thus reducing the floor space to about 6-9 sq/ft ...in this sq/footage you must include a gas tank, tackle box or something like it a passenger or two all the necessary gear ..and Yourself... Been there done that ... My buddy Pat had a real good 14' AVON Inflatable with a 9.9 Johnny. It was great to fool around with but when it came to fishing it was terrible...no room. My vote is for the canoe....that's if you don't wanna get the Tinny. RFS
  13. Sorry .... I just got back to this post.... Rich pretty much hit it on the nose...
  14. I helped my old buddy John..he's 80 yrs old, do this to his 1987 22' Crestliner 350 I/O...took us all of 1 hr ..everything went smoothly. The boat " B-52" is still guiding today on Lake Nipissing..with John at the helm. He's been guiding since the end of WWII he's the guy to go with. RFS
  15. AHHH!! Hwy 805 ...The once FAMOUS 805..now the INFAMOUS 805.... To be continued.........
  16. You can get a 1990 or so 17', 60-75 Fish & Ski type of aluminum boat for that price, buddy just picked up a 1991 Sylvan 17' Snapper of some kind w 91 75hp Mariner for 3500.00...Console , Depth Finder, Livewell, Swivel base seats..stereo, trailer and safety equip. Planes out @ 37 mph pull a tube around no problem and can easily have a sunbather on the front deck. Look around and go for a ride to marinas and boat repair shops.. even around the block... STEALS ARE NEVER ADVERTISED!!! Have fun shopping!! RFS
  17. YEP!!!! If you have a boat do what Bob said....... Grundy is VERY VERY VERY did I say VERY.. PRESSURED! Andy a YEP x2 for what Gerrit said........... I was there last summer for a weekend with the wife and kids.... there alot of "mini fish" to be had Grundy is a popular spot...a co-worker has his trailer there. I don't want to discourage you but... If you want bigger stuff take Bob's advice...... Rent a canoe or If you have a boat..do a day trip and GO NORTH!.... Have a GREAT Long Weekend..... RFS
  18. Where on the Northwest bay are you going....are you coming in from 17 @ Hagar?... Lavigne? Alban?... with more info I can probably lend a hint or two...
  19. Co worker just sold his 2000 , Sierra 1500 4x4, 4.8 L V8 extended cab s/b 212.000 k's for 2800.00 certified
  20. No need for airbags on the rear either, doesn't load up the rear suspension as you would suspect. [/quote I have a new on my 02 Jetta TDI and still sits kinda low...just the design I guess..... I wanna add air bags for peace of mind.. And you're right... outlast outperform and outMPG's the competition hands down ..it's not [the average] compact car. Propane Injection next week .....hold on to your RFS
  21. If the Jetta's sits too low after the boat is hitched ..consider looking for an airbag kit for the rear .. As for power you have plenty...braking ability as well and not to mention the MPG's I have a 02 Jetta TDI and am looking closely to this report 'cause I'm looking at putting some Airbags and a Hitch on mine... I sell parts for a living and haven't met anyone yet that tows more than a utility trailer with theirs.. ... ................................................................................ ................................................................................. ... I've found the part # for the airbag suspension kit for your Jetta .. Firestone part #4175 ..should be able to purchase at any Keystone dealer for about 119.00 Reese Insta-Hitch part # 77128, 2000lb GTW / 200Lb tongue weight @ about 189.00 plus install , ball and receiver and pin. RFS
  22. some folks think I'm crazy driving 40 plus hours (over 3500 kms), sleeping in the van , waking up at 4 am , eating bad food ..... to fish . can't wait TB Most people whom I know that travel... go to Mexico.. Dominican..Cuba...FLA...all the sunny places.. Have they ever been to Winnipeg ? The East Coast ...Rockies? probably not..Manitoulin Island even.. To think .... if you were to leave Barrie and drive south for 40 or so hours you'd be in Arizona or something... But ... you are able to drive North from Barrie for roughly the same amount of time and still....well.. you're still in the Beautiful Province of ONTARIO....isn't that just amazing!! You have an awesome trip planned...ENJOY!! RFS
  23. Johnson = Evinrude...parts a plenty Mariner = Mercury... parts a plenty Certain outboard lines were discontinued ....kinda like GM discontinuation of certain badges.. Randy
  24. I think I know what Harv is talking about... about 15 years ago a guy called Denis caught one at the foot of the dam... It was a 30lb Chinook....made the front page of the "Tribune".. He was fishing for Walleye with a Rapala at dusk. Randy
  25. here it is...but I now think it was a Chinook..It was in 2007
