Dedicated trolling motor battery... for the back and electronics a Marine Dual Purpose is best ... cranking power at the end of the day and an amp hour reserve for electronics.. Marine Cranking Batteries are not designed for sustained 12 draw... RFS

I was pulled over for speeding in a no wake zone....clocked @ 15 in a 9 kph zone .... They stripped searched the boat and this is how it went...as I recall. from a checklist.: life jackets.. paddles.. whistle.. bailing bucket.. anchor and rope.... 40' throw rope..working flashlight...good registration and ID. I also have a fire extinguisher on board and a survival kit.. they gave me kudos for that. They let me off with a warning for speeding and that was that. Enjoy the New Boat... If you sit on the right hand side you may turn right and left with no problems...if you sit on the left and steer with the right arm turning right may become a problem for tight turns... the handle may get in the way by hitting your legs or belly... at least that what happens to me. RFS

BTW Marine Starting Batteries are NOT the same as a automobile battery as the plates within the battery are cushioned better to handle the pounding the battery receives in a boat. Bob I've visited the plant and the rep is a good buddy of mine.... The guts are the same as an automotive battery... the outer shell has some differences like grooves for straps and fasteners ... different posts and stickers...at least the Stowaway and Nautilus..Champion.. I the automotive line up they'll tell you that it's made with "Heavy Duty Robust Materials" In the Marine line up they'll use different words like "Special Envelope" ....words used to sell stuff. Think about it.... the battery in your car takes one hell of a pounding too..

My Expedition did 9.5 MPG city and 12.0 HWY .... I've since added a EDGE Performance Tuner and a TBS..and a K&N Cold Air Intake along with a Tornado Insert ....I've upped my horsepower 25% and I now do 12.9 city and about 18.6 hwy.. Total cost of 800.00$ ...I do all my own installs Less restrictive exhaust and more air flow = more power & Better fuel economy .. It's almost paid for itself in fuel economy... And I like the sound.. I work in parts as a living ... to sell myself the O.E replacement I'd of paid 110.00$ for my muffler.. In this case I paid 86.00$ Stainless Steel Lifetime Warranty. My Truck sees alot of HWY and Offroad... I figure I've got the best of both worlds.
