  2. Great Pike Steve ! but ... pull up your pants !
  3. I wasn't gonna cook for myself , Sue doesn't really like Trout ,I'm not really crazy 'bout it either , It's not bad at all on a Cedar Plank or with a good coating in oil , but.. T-Bone and Brisket were on the menu for Friday and Saturday had I caught a Walleye , it probably would've went back as well.
  4. It's my favorite spot period , the last 10 k are brutal and take about 1 1/2 hrs with a 4x4 .. almost guaranteed a good spot to camp , we lucked out and got the best one , there were 3 more camped a out 200 M away ... We had 1/2 the lake to ourselves
  5. For the first time in 13 years my wife and I had the chance to go camping without the kids or the dogs ,we've been going to Gull Lake (hwy 805) with the kids for the past 9 yrs, but this was our well overdue trip alone. It started off on Friday morning , we left home at 9 Am and made the 90k trek up Hwy 805 to the Obabika turn off, in about and hour and 15 minutes , stopped to check the tie downs and prepare for the next bonejarring 10k into Gull 1 h 30 minutes. Quickly interrupted by a flat tire. Quick fix and on our way! High water and Beaver Dams Camp was set up by 2 PM Someone came to say hello. Got the boat in the water and set out for some Walleye... All I got were friggin Trout ! after Trout after Trout ! With the water temps at 41* I was expecting as much. In all caught about 30 ,all free to be caught another day, no Walleye to be had this time 'round. Nature calls Some scenery.. All in all we had a great weekend , it got pretty cold in the evenings but there were absolutely no bugs ! and NO INJURIES !!! Randy.

  8. chat ? im working nights gonna be there for a while

  9. I put a 1 1/2 " Teflon spacer on my 14'/ 30 to prevent porpoising , it worked like a charm.
  10. I was stopped with my rod and rifle years ago .. Was asked where I was going and what my intentions were , rifle was for target practice or protection against aggressive bears , the rod was for catching specks , was told if I shot a bear to report it , that was it , free to go .
  11. ^^^^ same animal , Bigfoot is called Sasquatch out west. .
  12. Installing a controller isn't worth 500$ You can get a decent one for about 75$ , the adapter pig tail is usually hidden in the jack stowage ( if not there about 20$ at any parts store ) the connection is under the steering column , near the OBD scan port , then you'll need a 7pin female connector for the hitch end , a good unit that has 7 & 4 or 5 pin , since you have an import odds are you'll need a 4 to 5 pin converter somewhere in your wiring so another 60$ .. So about 140$ + a case of beer and a good buddy in your driveway for about 30 minutes ... With the cash you save it can pay for an extra few trips worth of gas to do some RVing .
  13. Happened to me in '95 , not to this extent , but had it not been for a dog ( Doberman Pinscher ) the result may very well have been different for me... I am not afraid of them nor do I want to hug one I just gained a little more respect , as for the ugly cougars ... definately more afraid of those , wouldn't hug one no disrespect
  14. Either stores should consider a location somewhere between North Bay and Sudbury .
  15. night shift ! D'oh !

  16. A lake I fish , 100% of Walleye have them , not just one per fish either , the second the fish is dead or starts to die , the worms come out a lot longer than 3', has no effect on the fillets though . Randy
  17. The one I use and used to sell a whole lot of is Loctite # QM50 in a Syringe
  18. If you have room to store a truck cap , put it on when you need it , best tent ever ! Plenty around for 500$ , might not look very good but works , nothing 50$ worth of spray paint can fix .
  19. Nice ride ! congrats , thats some awesome mileage , Tonneau covers or dropped tailgates make the truck harder on gas ...fact.
  20. Add a can of SEAFOAM and burn it in whatever burns gas. .actually if you buy some hamster bedding , soak up the gas with it , put it in muffin pans and pour paraffin wax on them , an awesome fire starter for camping .
