One of you guys should start a “Looking back” thread! where we we’re in . . .some years ago we had one. What do you do? I’m writing a short story about my evolution in the typesetting trade, from day one to today and backing it up with pictures and lots of collectibles. The changes that I have survived but MY kid have no clue what got them where they are now. Hard work. It was a long journey, no days off and it got me some amazing memories and friends. I even hired some of my teachers. Work in progress and even fishing experiences. -

Your parents took you? I drove! And ended up living at 7 and Pine valley many years later. I was there when they started the Colossus centre and demolished the drive in. I don’t remember going for treats -

Lew I think we are in the same zone. I think they dragged me in ‘78, what a waste of time. Did enjoy the drive-in in the early 70s. One of my son in-laws used to live at Langstaff and Hwy 27. Used to sit in his backyard; HUGE, and watch them across the street for free. NO sound! the colossus centre at 400 and 7 was A drive in! I probably sat in COSTCO! -
50 lbs more that today! Why did they make them ? I had it painted and new seat . . .looked great when it ran, hated cold weather, but looked good.and it pulled a shed amazingly off the nine I did put in a 440 thanks to TJ in Angus I believe. Like driving a superbee today! Sorry Wayne, you know antiques rule when done right.

I only had one and wish I still had it, paid. $140.00 It was used when I acquired it.

like I said, we can’t take it with us. What is the point! last night I was watching a program called “what food made America” history channel. kellog’s corn flakes was the king, came between two brothers who eventually hated each other and won lost in court. Then came Post, as in cereal went at Kellog and did well only to have health problems and blew his head off. Mars was another, “Milky way” conflict between him and Hershey and his son! Want to see the end of this one. Frozen food was developed by an American made Birdseye And lived in Labrador in the Bush and learned how to freeze fish from the Innuit. We are only here for a short time! Let’s enjoy it. ut They have all gone!

We are harming this planet with pollution, plastic and chemicals . . . hiking taxes to stop this is probably not the solution. Where does the money go? we will still have to throw out garbage run our necessities until we can find something else. Plastic and CO2 is looking to be the major pollutant. We here can do our part but other nations as mentioned will not change and we send millions to aid them pollute even more. I have recycled since 1979, very conscious on what goes in the trash. I look after it. If every nation did their part we could solve this or come close. All of us are on this planet for a very short time 80-90 years, why do we need wars and spend billions on billions of defence? WE can’t take it with us. When bombs are thrown into the sea what happens to ocean life? I probably have 20 years and hope they solve this problem for out children. Greed is a major cause. As I stated you can’t take it with you. My grade five teacher always said all you need is 6 feet! I do drive a small vehicle and make note that it only goes out 6 days a week, NO more. I want to be down to five or less soon.

grazie per un rapporto glorioso per noi stranieri qui al sud, i peperoni sono grandi, ma perché l'aglio? Di solito lo inserisco fresco quando li aggiusto. well done Brian! salt, vegetable oil, lots of fresh parsley and fresh garlic is all I use. Goes well in prosciutto, hot supresata or salmi sandwich. Italian ciabatta sliced, drizzled with OLIVE oil and toasted in the oven. And aside of assorted olives does it; oh red wine.
