there is only one cottage on the lake besides the camp. IT was for sale back about 15 years ago I went to look at it,the lodge owner drove me over in a boat, the rest is crown land.

If I were you I would pick up a 6 inch hand auger, ice scoop, couple ice rod combos and some tackle. Just the basics. Not alot of investment involved. As for spots I would try either Mitchel's Bay or Long Point. Good pan fish, pike.

CR ratings for plasma http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/electro...gs-overview.htm
-
well the best picture is still a plasma. If you will not be playing any video games and can control the light in the room than go plasma best picture. I did a ton of research both on line and talking to sales people at at about 6 different shops. The answer was always the same for my interest (sports, movies,no video games) controlled lighting.plasma. The most reccomended brand was Samsung ,Panasonic was a distant second.

price on garage door opener installed
bow slayer replied to bow slayer's topic in General Discussion
well it seems 100 bucks seems to be the rate. I would attempt it myself but with 3 kids playing hockey, working 50-60 hours a week and working on the backyard rink with my spare time,it woulld have to wait til spring. I will check more into the type I bought,so far I have heard good and bad. thanks for the replies. -
does any know roughly how much to have a garage door opener installed? 1/2 horse genie screw drive with wall console. thanks. I am in the London area if you know someone that does this type work, thanks again.

Canadian Tire here in St.thomas

I was just in Canadian Tire and both the jiffy 30 8 inch and eskimo viper are on sale. The difference in price is only 40 bucks. 339 for eskimo and 379 for the jiffy.
-
I had a eskimo 3hp 85 cc 10 inch auger for 14 years. Never had a problem with it. I sold it last spring for 300 bucks,I paid 350 for it brand new.Only reason I sold it was my father was selling his brand new still in the box jiffy for the same 300 bucks.

sounds like they were over cured in cold water. I would use them the way they are. If you want try soaking them in warm water with some salt to soften them up.

I have used the one at Goderich Bait and Tackle many times over the years.

I work here in southern ontario in a hospital. Myself and most of my co-workers have had the shot. We have not been made to have it. We risk not being able to work if a outbreak is declared. In the last week or so we have had several patients with H1N1. The scary part here is all have been either younger children and middle aged men with no other health problem. Some of these men are now in ICU on assited breathing and IV. This virus is scaring in how fast it develops. The anxiety level is high among workers, patients and visitors. The ER is packed around the clock. People are really scared.

I have done it a few times with my 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter. We go camping pitch the tent and put all the gear inside it and put the air mattress in the back of the montana. Much drier and we watch movies on the dvd system. We also camp in bear country so a liitle more comfort as well. My buddy and I have done it a few times in the back of his suburban while steelheading in the fall, works nice. -
I have caught a few sturgeon(lake nipissing,st.clair river) and a few skamania back in the 90s on Lake Huron tribs.

I agree with Dara I am sick of people using the cultrual barrier thing as an excuse. Plain and simple if you want to fish ,learn the regs. I know plenty of new canadians I have worked with that love to fish and hunt. They all learned the regs and follow them and if they didn't they know the price.

well after talking more to the vet and our own vet plus alot of researching on the net, talking to other pup owners who went through this we decided to bring the pup home. She is on meds for the next 2 weeks. She has no facial hair loss ,just a lump on the left shoulder that will heal completely. The vet feels they found it very early and started to treai it right away. She acts, eats, plays normal To look at her one would never know she is ill. Both vets have dealt with this before and all the dogs they treated completely healed and are normal healthy dogs. One is 10 years old now. To them the key is early treatment before facial hair loss is pronounced, even then the outlook is usually good. I will try to post some pics of her later.thanks for the replies.

My family after saying goodbye in June to our 15 year old yellow lab decided recently to get another pup. We picked one out about 4 weeks ago(golden retriever) and yesterday was suppose to be pick-up day. The problem is the breeder called us the night before telling us our pup the only one of a litter of 8 had come down with a case of "puppy strangles". After talking to the vet treating her and our own plus googling it we are still not sure what to think. My question is has anyone had or known of a pup that had this condition and what was the outcome? We have visited her regularly since we picked her and are already attached. We are worried about long range health problems and scarring. Any info would be wonderful. thanks
