no real budget but i really don't want to spend into the 1000's yet. Realistically somewhere around 600-800 to get started then see where it goes from there.I have always wanted to get into quality photography and once I am hooked the budget will grow. All I have to do is look at the 1000's I have into fishing gear and it started small 30 years ago.

In my search for a starting dslr camera I have been offered a very good condition Canon Eos 10D for around 400 bucks including grip and bag.Is this a good deal, should I keep searching. Are the new rebels a better camera in line of picture quality? thanks for any feedback.

I have been researching into buying a new dslr camera mainly for wildlife photos. I have narrowed the choice down either a Nikon or Canon just not sure which models would best suit me. I am not looking to spend a ton a money but would be comfortable to spend in the 700 dollar range. I have recently just missed out on a couple lightly used deals for around that price. A couple I have looking at are the Canon XSI and XTI with the standard 18-55 lense and 70-300 additional lense. Are these good starter cameras? Will these lenses allow for zooming in on wildlife from a distance? Are the new T2I or T3I better cameras? Any suggestions would be well welcomed? Any suggestions on good starter cameras from either brand would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking Brunt badly wanted to be the one who broke the story seeing that there was very little talk about Atlanta moving to Winnipeg. His sources told him it would be done by the Tuesday and ran with it. It does not matter to me or most who breaks the story as long as they move to Winnipeg, but I am sure it matters to them.Hopefully sometime this week.

I have had good luck using jitterbugs for pike in both the Lavigne area of Nipissing and while camping at Grundy Lake. It seems early morning while the mist is still on the water and just before dusk seems to work best for me and pike with top waters.

Vancouver being able to roll 4 lines and overall depth, and team speed combined with Boston's lack of depth on the blueline has the making of this being a short series ,I think 5 but Thomas maybe able to steal 2.Boston has not seen a team this good so far in the playoffs and needed 7 games to beat 2 of them. Vancouver has already beat better teams than Boston in both San Jose and Chicago, and Nashville is about even with Boston. The west is just stronger just look at the record between conferences this year.

Outdoor Life's 20 Best Anglers on the Planet!
bow slayer replied to NateFollmer's topic in General Discussion
21. Bowslayer In all honesty most of these guys fish for one type of fish. I think the angler who can be diversified and be very successful at many types of fish would be a better angler IMHO.Wow and what a surprise no canadians on the list ,with more fresh water than anyone else i am sure we have a few who know how to and are pretty good, and with our multi species and 4 seasons would be very diversified. -
If you can find one try an older scanoe from coleman. I have one and it is great for fishing,i use a 5 hp nissan and when I want to just canoe it also works well. You sit higher up than a sportspal ,also they are alot more stable and there is lots of leg room. The one downside to these is they are heavy but wind won't blow them around like a sportspal and they can take a beating. Try to find an older model with the aluminum frame.

try fishing small minnows with small hooks below a float. Let the fish take the bait for about 20-30 seconds before you set the hook. This way they work the bait further down the mouth where the hook will set. I use to catch a ton of them below the dam at Fanshawe years ago.

I have always thought that he was very underrated and this playoffs he has been the best player period.I am so glad I took him in the playoff pool.

I have personally seen a few musky that were caught on Six Mile so they are there. When I use to camp there back in the late 80s there was an older dutch gentleman camped beside me that brought one back with him one morning around 15 lbs. Then about 4 years ago I was fishing a shoal close to Pretty Channel when the other boat near me landed a ski around the 12 lb mark.Yes they were both musky not pike. There is also a few hanging in the park office that were caught on Six Mile.

Actually I am in the london area(St.Thomas) The Edge is a little small but the wife does like the Flex though. She has it narrowed down to a Pathfinder,Flex, and the Acadia. She likes the GMC the most.

Does anyone have any first hand info either pro or con on this vehicle. It is the same as Chev Traverse,Buick Enclave,Saturn Outlook. My wife has decided that she wants to buy one in the next few days. I have searched on line but would also like to hear from someone who owns one ,knows someone who does or maybe even a GM tech. Thanks for any feedback.
