  2. Lower Grand River Dunnvile has lots of Walleye...
  3. Come down Rich fish with me for the day ...
  4. Ed Does not have a computer so he asked me to do a post for him ... here goes! Headed out of Steves Harbour, fished from 7:30am - 10:30. I caught one walleye at 9:00am. Met with a few other guys and was standing around chatting when my rod was just about ripped out of my hand. What a great fight. When I got her in she weighed 7.5lbs. I grabbed a couple of pics and released her. She was my personal best Walleye through the ice on the river. I will be out there again soon! Ed
  5. To many for my camera to zoom in on Denis ...Ice is 3 to 4" and growing ...
  6. Easyer said then done ...if you pull a fish from 45 deg water temps up into 70+deg water temps they Die ...only way i have revived them is a cooler full of Ice Water ... but its kinda hard to release a fish a paying client wants to keep ...if his limit is 5 then he will keep 5 fish ...its proable the only 5 fish the guy will keep the the whole year cause thats the only time he gets out fishing ...and 5 fish for a years worth of eating is not much ...there are alote of guys that fish daily out there own that keep there limits all year round ...there is tons of Rainbows on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie and lots of people like them in the smoker ...if you can go out in the middle of the lake and catch 40 Bows a day there must be lots ...till the MNR changes the limit there's nothing anybody can do about it ...unless you see guys keeping more then there limit in the freezer or on a daily catch ...ok im done with this Port D post ...
  7. I fish for a hour after dark then head in ...yes by mid next week i will be out with the snowmobiles ..
  8. Guess we will all have to Wait till 2010 to see if the MNR changes the limits ...like dwc67 said there could be lots of floaters ...
  9. Here is a picture of what they look like cooked the way you are talking about... The kids loved them... cheers Jen
  10. We took the boys out last week to bunny hunt... It was a great day with many bunnies seen, however only one brought home for the table. The boys had a great time, mostly laughing at their mom as she continually tripped over brush landing on her behind. These are moments that make memories that will last a lifetime.
  11. There Few guys out the the River 7am this morning ..Sonny Reports 7:15am ...water clarity 16 to 18" ...and not running to fast ...
  12. Go fishing ...lots of guys fishing St Williams ...same as the Lower Grand fishable Now ..
  13. But have you helped at Ringwood ...i have fished Lake Ontario since the 80s and its very healthy still in 2009
  14. aniceguy have you helped out with Ringwood ...???? and like i said i don't fish the Blue Zone very Often i would much rather chase fish that fight like KINGS...over the past few years Bows on Lake Ont are more plentyful then any other fish out there ...
  15. I don't fish the Blue Zone very often anyways ...but like i said 90% of the fish in Lake Ont are US fish ...the biggest stocking program on the Lake Ont Candian side is Chinnoks ...Ringwood stocks more Salmon then they do Bows ...and the US stocks are 10000 times more then the Canadian side ... at least the 90% of Lake Rainbows are being eatin not wasted just for Roe ...Lake Ontario is a Put & Take Fishery ...Be Happy there is no Comercial Net Fishing for your river Rainbows ...
  16. Fishing Sucks this year in your Creeks and Rivers because of Rain Wind Snow ...it has nothing to do with Charter Boats... Maybe thats why i stoped Guideing the Niagara River because of Bad Weather wasn't lack of fish it was lack of Green Water ...90% of fish out in the Blue Zone are US fish anyways ...carp to the MNR about stocking on the Canadian side not the charter boats ...you river fisherman are like icefisherman all waiting for good Ice or Clear water ...give it a few weeks i bet i see lots of Steelhead Reports all over the net ...and im sure if your a River fisherman you take more then 5 fish a year to eat thats if you eat fish ...Don't Blame people for problems your having fishing ...we all have problems in Life ...
  17. Just walked out to the middle of the Grand seems to be around 3 to 4" in the center ...but i would recommend being with a friend and have a spud and a Survival Suite and keep checking all places you walk ...fish single meaning not to have to many people in one spot at one time...Marina Ice is 6 to 8 " ...with the -10 nights we will be all over the Lower Grand in a few more nights ...but as of now I'm going Walleye Fishing ...Store will be Open 6:30 am Saturday and Sunday ...New Hours Start Next week for Ice Fisherman ...We Also have lots of Live Minnows Big and Small...
  18. Why are you trying to stay away from live minows Rich nobody have any up your way ...i don't think i would ever go Ice Fishing without Minnows ...
  19. Marina Ice is now Safe again to fish Crappies ...Main River still Open Water won't be long now though ...
