Love your Winter Lake Ont reports ...but i do think your a little Crazy going out in 32deg water temps with no Survival Life Jaket on ..not that it will save your life but atleast they will find you ....

Should be 3-5 Inches today, if you are going to give Walleye a try before the end of the month, wear a float suit , bring a spud, and fish with a friend.

Me and Fishlips Tonight And the fish are there me and Fishlips joined up for some thin hard water Walleye's ...just before dusk O lookie a fish 10" off bottom bring it up to him and wham on for 3 seconds & gone ...Ok i here Fish Lips my turn lol I'm glad Jamze wasn't jumping up and down after droping 3 fish in a row ...thanks for going out with me Jamze it's nice haven someone out with ya on Thin Ice ...next time we will land those fish ..

Ice is good very good in the Marina and the smelt are still here ...Marina Ice 14 to 16"

Did a check at 11:30 am today got to 12 fow straight out front ...4 " to 2" if ya don't have a Spud or a Floater Suit wait a couple more days ...i think i will try the 12fow tonight water color didn't look to bad ...Walleye season Closes Saturday Feb 28th so this is the last week of Walleye till the 2nd weekend of May ..

Well the Ice is locked in again...if we keep getting these cold nights i will be out searching for Walleye before Closer on Feb 28th ...Looks like we may get one more Kick At Walleye before its done ...also the Marina is now Open for Ice fishing 12" of safe Ice ...

Everything here is Ok little Ice Mess but all is good ...water droped 3 ft tonight finally...here is a slide show of what it did look like ....Riverside Marina and the Boat Club took it hard Gas docks Gone ...Vics had some good Damage also...Grand Island BBQ got hite bad also... Feb 13th Feb 14th

Bad News guys & gals 9am this morning as im drinking my Coffee i watched the Water come up another 2 to 3 ft and as this happened the Ice Went out ...looks like the Derby is going to be Cancled for Next Weekend ...GRRRRRR

The Marina might be ok again by the weekend ...tell them to call me for more info closer to the weekend ....

As of now the Ramp is closed for Ice fishing...the water level if about 4ft above normal shore lines is all open water ...got my fingures crossed for the Derby next weekend ... water is droping back inot place as i speak ...so far we have not lost the Ice on the Lower Grand River ...soon as its safe to go fishing again i will give ya a Update ....as of right now Stay Off Any Ice ...

We were out on the Atv tonight fished 6"of black Ice, White ice is soild but you have to watch for old holes! They are rotting away and thin around the outter edges ...iIf you plan on fishing, do it in the daylight so you can see were you are walking ... There will be no more Atvs or Sleds allowed down the ramp till futher notice ....The Marina Ice is still over a 1ft thick and the Smelt are in ...The smelt in the main River seem to be gone ... Lets hope the ice holds this week until the cold weather sets back in Thursday or Friday ...cross your fingers for the Tourney ....if your out be safe

Yes it was a late night before fishing ...Wildthing & his Buddie ,Randy & Sonny and I headed off the Point Abino round 6:38 Sunday morning to find one hell of a rough ride out on Lake Erie ...the ride out early in the week was alote nicer i guess ...but after the melt down on saturday it was hell out there...pretty bad when your on a Atv and people that where walking were passing us on the ride out ...also meet up with some other guys from the board on the way out on sleds what a rough ride wasn't it Steve...anyways got a nice PM from JHM on were the fish were slamed the day before ...GPS put us right ontop of his holes thanks Jeff but i guess we should have been there yesterday ...it was still a good day started fishing late around 8am missed the morning bite but I still ened up with 14 beauty Perch one over 14" ...Randy got 4 ..Sonny 1 Perch 1 Smelt and no Carp lol 19 Perch Total for the day ...well Sonny lost his $10 buck once again sorry Sonny had to say it you better sharpen them hooks and make some Tipups lol...it was a great day on Lake Erie with good friends thanks for joining me Boys ...just finised eating them for dinner YUMMY ...im going to try and get out off Port Maitland before the weekend if this dam warm weather don't bugger it up ..still waiting for a call back from the Coast Gaurd to find out witch way the Ice Breaker came to the mouth of the river ...i no there is a Big Pod of Perch off Maitland waiting to be caught ... Berns sled blew a plug then just quit like yours out on the ice... We hauled it home and ripped it apart and this is what you will probably find when you get the piston out of yours... Fan belt was slipping so no cooling or little engine cooling on the clutch side means an overheated engine, specially when going through the slush out there. Ordering the parts first thing tomorrow and should be back up and running by Wednesday...

They are tastey Little Fishes ...all ya need is a little oil in a pan batter them with Flour and sat and peper cook till golden brown and enjoy ...

They will be here till Spring till the Big Cats chase them outa here ...take the drive down for the day Smelts Galore ....

Headed down river today to try the 18fow, got set up around 6:45 am, had 1 good hit and missed it ...Damn, I can't hook a Walleye this year ... Around 10:00am I decided to add a couple small hooks above my Buckshot with Spikes, it was non stop Smelt. I fished right off bottom and was hauling in 2 Smelt at a time ...around 11:00am I called it a day with about 200 or so SMELT ...I saw 2 Walleye on the ice today on the way back in... If you would like to get the Kids out for some fun and fast action head out in the Marina or the River as it's packed full of Smelt ...

Ice Report Jan 29th Lower Grand 9 to 11" or more in places...seems there was a few fish caught yesterday on Rapala Jigs tipped with a Minnow Head ...best depth seems to be 10 to 12 fow ..down off the trailers ...looks like its going to be a little warmer this weekend ..bring the Atv's or Snow Mobiles and move around to some of your summer trolling spots ...

Prime Time for Walleye Well guys if you want to catch Walleye you need to be out before daylight or around 3 pm till dark ..Smelts bite all day ...ive just seen a lot of guys show up at 10am and wonder why they are not catching walleye or guys come at 2pm leave at just before the prime bite at 5pm ...Walleye Bite Early Morning ans just before Dark ...

I fished off Vic's last night had 2 good hits missed them both time for Stinger hooks ...caught 4 nice sized smelt ...fished 18 fow ice was 9" in the middle of the river and around 5 " closer to shore ...seems good for Atv's and Sled now ....wish i had more time to get out and find active fish ...i know guys that are doing well but are not posting ...it's just a matter of time and everyone will be saying FISH-ON...has anybod been droping there Camera's down .... aslo if anybody wants a good feed of Smelt the Marina is loaded ...small tear drops or small hooks tipped with Maggots or Mousie's

Im still here just been crazy busy with the store...12 hour days 7 days a week ...Cliff i will be putting all my charter dates toghter this week ...i will be in touch ...

It's a ritual for Asian's to eat one and release one ...this has been happeing in Lake Ontario for many years off Toronto ...you can even buy live Asian Carp in Seafood shops in Toronto ...i think they should be Killing the Mississippi River Totaly ...with 98% of the fishing the the river being Asian Carp why not Destroy the river instead of all our water ways ...it't all just a matter of time ..
