TRCA is not a governing agency. They have no right to tell anyone where or when to fish. They could politley suggest you read the fishing regulations if in fact you were doing something wrong....which in this case, I don't think they were. I'd go back to the same spot if I was him, and ask a few more questions this time. She can be fined for interfering with legal fishing.....I would have her charged, just to teach her a lesson. IMO, they're all good. The important thing is to get it from a reliable dealer, who is not far from home, and has a good reputation for customer service. If/when you need to get it serviced, you'll be happy that you didn't go across the province to save a few bucks. Sinker

Yup, rainbow darter. Man, I've been trying to get one of them for a long time to add to a minnow aquarium we have at work......I can't seem to get one. Would you mind sharing what kind of habitat they came out of? I've got most types of minnows, but these guys are pretty rare for some reason around here......either that, or I'm looking in the wrong places...? Sinker

I have a feeling you guys are talking about common goldeneyes. Much more common than a barrows in Ontario. A borrow's would be a very uncommon bird this far inland from either coast......but its not impossible. Your discription of diving the shot, sounds like something a common GW would do.......crafty little buggers!! Sinker

Where were you getting barrows goldeneyes? I'd love to have one for the wall! I let a lot of the commons go, but a barrows would be a trophy in Ontario. Sinker
