I dunno, but it sounds like either your carb is getting blocked, or your gas line is messed up where it connects. When it starts stalling, did you try opening the choke? If it goes again when you pull the choke, its starved for fuel..... Could be a lot of other things too though......spark would be the next try. Sinker

You could also glue a piece of plexi or lexan to the hull with adhesive, then attach the transducer to that. Sinker

I use the transom mount, because I can put it on any boat. Usually in the back lakes, there are "stashed" boats that you can use.......I just take the transom mount and a battery with me. These lakes I couldn't bring in my fishing boat with the bowmount.....too big. Sinker

Your new battery will only have as much power as the old one its attached to. Unhook the old one, charge it alone, and then run the motor on 12V to see what happens. CT can test your battery for free.

Is there a thermostat on that engine? If there is, you'll have to run it long enough to get hot, so it will open up. Just idling might not get it hot enough to open Tstat. Just a thought..... Sinker
