Canada. I'd rather travel in my own country. It was a great ride! I'm back on ON again now. 4700km in the Uhaul over 6 days, not 5...I lost track of my days. We spent a day in the mountains around banff/lake louise though. Only travelled about 600km that day. Did 1300km in one day across the prairies to make up the time to do it. It was quite the road trip! S. -

We just did the run from pickering to vancouver in 5 days in a 20ft uhaul towing a ford ranger the whole way. It is an adventure for sure. Pretty amazing trip! We didnt have anything broken. Bring as much as you can because the things you leave behind are what you will want! S. -
Heavier boat, so the play in your reciever is showing. Its not going anywhere, just turn up the radio. S.

Im in revelstoke right now, on a cross country drive to vancouver. Ive already done the sturgeon on the fraser, and it is awesome! I probably wont have time to fish this trip, but the scenery is amazing!!!! S. -

Next time im up there i'll pm you. I have a cottage in wilberforce. Been fishing that area for over 20yrs, it would be great to share some info! Good luck, and good on ya for offering!!! S. -
Im with porkpie. Fishing bass out of season certainly isnt hurting the population. I think the best solution is to just open the season all year. I bet 99% of them are released unharmed anyways. I really dont see the big deal. Guys fish steelhead while they're spawning, and they're one of the most elite groups of fisherman goin. S.

Yes, it helps for sure, but I had to get some benedryl to really get rif of it. I feel your pain! If it gets worse, see a doctor. Cover any affected areas in bed, or change your sheets nightly. Good luck! S.

At least with a rigger it would be easier to adjust depth, and quicker too IMO. I sometimes run riggers in sheild lakes, and understand what your saying about quick depth changes. Set your brake light on the riggers in case you get snagged, but I've never had that problem yet. S.

Why not use a downrigger? S.

Cleanest-Purest Lakes in central to southern Ontario?

Best place to find that info is probably the fish eating guide. S. -
Stick with lead core. S.

Bah...complaining about nature when living in the country is like complaining about traffic living in the city. Embrace it....let it put you to sleep. I have a freakin woodpecker who thinks my satellite dish is a great thing to pound on every morning at 5:30....i'll take the frogs any day LOL! S.

Yes, I agree on the sounds. Hard to tell, and I dont know enough about the drive to start pulling it apart lol. I few people have suggested clutch dog. S.

I also carry a spare hub/bearing assembly with my spare tire. Knock on wood....ive never had to use it, but its much easier to replace the whole hub/bearing assembly than it is to do a bearing job on the side of the hwy. S.

Hey Bernie, Ive adjusted the shift rod as far in favour of reverse as I can without losing forward, so I think ive ruled that out. You're right though, they tested it on muffs, and it is fine that way. Even at an idle in the water it works, just when I give it any throttle it clicks. Clutch dog? Isnt it more common to lose forward gear before reverse? The clicking sounds like it comes from just below the engine, not down in the leg, or gear case. Im pretty handy with this sort of stuff, but im not sure I want to start taking things apart. Its a 40hp, 2 cyl, 2 stroke, yamaha built mariner, longshaft, tiller.....no electric on it at all. Any suggestions? S.

Yes, Larry at Robinson is who I meant when I said Mclarens. Its at Mclarens Creek....duh....brain fart. I think that's where mine will end up next. S.

I think a kick in the nuts is more adequate LOL We have an HHR at work. The battery is in the trunk, under the spare wheel LOL S.

Where are you located? I took my engine in for some service this year. First time its been in a shop. I had no reverse gear. They called me 2 weeks later, said they couldnt find anything wrong. I picked it up the next day, dropped it in the lake, put it in reverse and had nothing but clicking.....nice job eh? grrrr Ive been using it for the last couple weeks with no reverse because I dont know where to take it. Never needed service on this engine, and ive had it since '93. Ive had mclarens, between lindsay and cameron do the water pump one time, and they were good. Might try them next.... S.

Thermacell works awesome!!! The clip on off gadgets supposedly work ok too, my gf uses one and says it helps. Skitters are bad for sure. If I'm doing anything out side, stationary, I have the thermacell with me. It does help a lot. S.

I'm still fishing out of a '91 starcraft. I've replaced the floor, and re did wiring, and now its just as good, if not better, than it ever was. If you like the boat, keep it. Its hard to find a comparable boat these days. S.

I have worked in poison ive for a lot of years and never had it until last year. This post was the first time I got it, and it nailed me bad. I'm pretty careful in the stuff, but not anal about being around it at all. I'm sure my boots, pants, tools etc are all covered in it. The time I got it, I was putting in fence posts, and had to reach down the hole to get a rock out. The poison ivy roots got me under my arm where the skin is more sensitive I guess. I was also a bit sick at the time, so maybe my immune was down as well?? I dunno. We'll see if I get it again, because its growing like mad here again now. I have poison ivy everywhere I go around here, and in some places its up to my waist!! S.
