  8. My lowrance claims to give clear readings up to 40mph. I still get a depth reading, but I lose bottom at about 20mph....no big deal, I have the GPS running anyways, so I kinda know where I am, and don't need to see the bottom anyways. S.
  9. Ok, so who here would stop their car in the left lane of the highway to rescue ducklings? Really?? Hard way to learn a lesson, but you don't just stop your car IN the left lane of the highway....period. The punishment is a little harsh, but really, there could have been more people killed or injured from a really, really, bad decision on her part. S.
  10. Well sure, it should be marking bottom anyways.....but no need to be marking fish or a real clear picture when your doing 30mph down the lake. I'd say yours sounds fine davey. S.
  11. I've caught a few walleyes on topwaters too. Not in september, mid summer, over floating mats of weeds. September is hunting season.... S.
  12. I don't understand why its so important to get a good reading on plane?? By the time you mark something, your already gone by.
  13. Thats sweet!! S.
  14. No secret technique. Just slow trolled harnesses off weed edges. Easy way to fish with the GF lol.....and effective! S.
  15. My GF and I laid the smackdown on eyes this morning at first liight, but it shut down quick. We put 15 in thhe boat in less than 2 hours, and had to work for them after that. Didnt notice any bugs at all. S.
  16. Meh...I dont worry about it. Sometimes when I catch a small fissh and skip it across the water as I reel it in I wonder if I just scared the crap out of it, or if it just experienced the ride of its life. Kinda like us riding a roller coaster. Lol S.
  17. Ha...the last time I camped at a provincial park I got a ticket for under age drinking LOL. I prefer to get away from people. S.
  18. MOST people never take the time to notice and walk right on by. I'm drawn to it. Just can't help it. I don't know how many times someone has said to me "how did you even notice that?". I dunno, I just do. S.
  19. Stop in at the Prop Drop on hwy #35 just south of Lindsay as well. He's been really good to me over the years, and has an awesome selection of props. S.
  20. I've been watching a nest here as well. Always entertaining to watch. I need a better camera. I have one of 2 out of the nest. The nest is in a hollowed out maple tree. Pretty neat stuff, that a lot of people would walk right by without even noticing! S.
  21. Were there other boats close by you? Could have been interference from other units near by.....if not, yeah, id say your transducer is pooched. S.
  22. Big Cliff for PM You got my vote! S.
  23. On my boat the transducer is tilted up at the back for best results. Trial and error is the best way now. Its easy enough to adjust. S.
  24. Holy moly!!! Whoppers for sure! S.
  25. Yep, this ^. Get rid of those. They will cause you grief for sure. S.
