  1. Off topic, but what do you have lined up in BC? Are you living right in VAN? I didn't like it there at all. One day in that city was enough. Housing costs are off the wall. I still can't figure out what the appeal is for my brother, but he seems to love it there. He's a finish carpenter, working on high end homes in the VAN area. I just don't like the city life....anywhere. S.
  2. All ya can do is try 'er out. Pics would help too. On a glass boat, thru hull is hard to beat IMO. S.
  3. As long as its in a steady flow of water, it should be fine. You might get a little spray coming off it if its a bit low, but it should still work. Hopefully there are no air bubbles passing under it from the "slanting out and up" part of the boat, that may cause bad readings on plane. Too low could cause this as well. S.
  4. No, his name is Adam. On anstruther lake. S.
  5. I thought ATV's were already banned. I know my buddy still uses his all the time (illegally?) , and has a couple boats cached in there as well. He's not at all happy that its a provincial park now....he's been going there his whole life.....almost 40yrs. Kinda sucks. Its a boat access only cottage too. S.
  6. Nipigon for me. I prayed the truck would break down as we passed thru there last week on my trek out there! I almost got my wish, and actually talked to Simon on the way thru lol. S.
  7. A buddy of mine has a place on anstruther lake and was telling me about these cached boat tags. I'll ask him if he's called and see what they said. Im curious now. Interesting set up for the sluice....have you had any luck? S.
  8. You got ripped off....they only charged me $20 lol....must be the smile S$
  9. Congrats on the new arrival! The specks aint too shabby either! S.
  10. Whaaatever!! Nobody is blaming any ethnic groups for all poaching. Its just common knowledge that some ethnic groups are known to keep more than their share of fish, smaller fish, and any species of fish. I have no problem with any person catching a limit and taking it home to eat, I do it all the time, but for some reason there are certain ethnic groups who keep everything caught, and are ignorant to the regulations and other fisherman. I'm not pointing fingers, and I don't have to, because I'm sure everyone here reading this understands what I'm saying, yourself included. Are there other ethnic groups who do this? Hell yeah..... Are they as common?? NOPE!! Sorry to burst your bubble. S.
  11. Actually, I think its slowing down now. It was on fire a couple weeks ago like crazy though. S.
  12. Yep, plug it in all the time. The charger should also be a battery minder. P.S....dont forget to unplug before leaving! S.
  13. Spotty for sure with BEll (telus), but rogers had full service the whole way across canada, where Telus didn't. In southern ON though, I have coverage in places most other providers don't. S.
  14. The scugog crappies are generally small too. No fun to fillet. They probably grind them up though.... S.
  15. Seriously, is 60 not enough? Me and a buddy kept 40 one day. That was enough fillets to last me all year until I target them again in the winter. How much fish can two people eat? I have fish at least once a week no matter what, and feed 3 people.....I don't freeze much fish, but I do try to stock up on panfish in the spring, but there is absolutley no need to keep more than the legal limit unless your eating fish every day, and feeding a massive family......or your selling them..... S.
  16. No my brother moved out west, and its his GF's car. I don't fit in a mini LOL. I just went for the drive, and flew back. Awesome road trip! S.
  17. Had one, never again either. S.
  18. Driving to Vancouver. We just passed right through. Maybe you saw us with a 20' uhaul trailering a cooper mini on the back? S.
  19. That is all.... S.
  20. Good question!! I see this every time I go crappie fishing. S.
  21. Good stuff Beansie! Like staffman said, anything that allows you to fish is a great thing!! S.
  22. Geeze...I drove right by you guys in white river. Great trip. Looks like a blast! S.
  23. Thru hull close to the bow? I dunno, seems on the TM is the best/easiest way to go. S.
  24. Same as Rick. Keep it simple. Works fine. S.
  25. I get about 3-4 yrs on mine as well, but I bet 95% of my battery use is steady trolling with the bowmount. I turn it on once, and it basically stays on until I'm done fishing. Its hard on batteries. S.
