  1. Great story Cliff, thanks for sharing.
  2. Awesome!! Some great fish caught by both of you, congrats!!
  3. Sounds like a great trip Lew. Great weather, friends and fishing. Always nice to meet up with a fellow OFC member too.
  4. It certainly was a great day on the water Cliff. Good friends, good fishing, good times. Nice to have slimmed up the new ride with you. Very impressed with how that boat runs fully loaded and the comfort of the seats, awesome! I'm guessing you took the day off from fishing today? That one fish wore you out did it?
  5. At a quick glance your are looking at $7-800 for the steering link and a power tilt/trim unit for the kick plus taxes, shipping, duty etc. I guess you might as well say a $1000. This was on the Iboats site Iboats
  6. It might miss Dalton but your vote can help to take him out....
  7. I take your traffic back up any day over the mine in the Big Smoke. Nice report Simon, looking forward to more of that underwater footage.
  8. Phil - That is a FOOTBALL!! We need to get out there this fall, at the very least put our other plan into gear. Cliff - We'll work on a bigger musky for ya but after I get a PB walleye. I too love the fall for fishing, my favourite time of the year. Bring it on!!
  9. Don't let your wife find out about your little affair Geoff. And...... Don't tell the kids they're eating their pet goose on Thanksgiving......
  10. This year got off to a very slow start while the boat was in the shop. Then Dad past away, finally hit the water mid June. Slow start with smaller fish but some numbers. A trip to Eddie's on Beateau Lake helped get the size and numbers up. Smaller fish seems to have been my theme since then for some reason. Haven't had the drive to fish as much or as often this year and have missed a few weekends. Normally missing a day on the water would drive me crazy, this year, not so much. Hoping for a banner fall season though.
  11. Live and learn and just keep shooting. That certainly is the great thing with digital photography, snap a bunch and you'll get one or 2 that you are happy with. As for the eagle on the log shot, you can't always choose the back drop to your subject. Don't beat yourself up too bad, it is a good shot and very cool. Sometimes just a bit of cropping can help. Looking forward to more of your pics.
  12. That is some crazy footage. It'll make all of us think twice about leaving our hands in the water after we release a fish. Thanks for posting Ryan!
  13. Thanks for the heads up! Ordered the rainsuit and a few other items. Even with the duty and all, paid less then I would ever expect to pay for just the Gortex suit.
  14. Awesome shots Bill. I'm no pro either but I noticed a couple of things, shadow on the fishes jaw and "clutter" in the background - I find it distracting but the colours on the fish quickly pull your eye away from it. Not always easily down, but try to take a couple of seconds and look at the picture to see what else is going on besides you main subject. BTW - I'd kill to catch a fish like that. To me the other wildlife shots are over exposed by a stop or 2. There is a loss of detail in the whites/bright areas. I tend to drop my shots by a stop or 2 when I take them. You can always brighten a shot later in Photoshop (Or other software) but if you don't have the detail to begin with you can't get it back. Another tip I give to everyone is the rule of thirds. Rule of thirds Rule of thirds 2 Hope these tips help out and keep snapping! Thanks for sharing those shots.
  15. Very cool pics and nice bass!!
  16. Sure! I drink that water all the time. Putting in for Friday Nov. 18th as a day off and will let you know asap. Will be there that weekend, just a matter of arrival time.
  17. Of course they work Roy, no need to click as the light it on already......I just think no one is home. Tony - Great info!!
  18. Never thought about asking for free beer before Terry, didn't know it was allowed on the board. Hmmmm Looking for free beer. Can drink just about anything if it's cold enough. Prefer Molson products. Anyone help a guy out? Vodka is fine as well.
  19. You must be confused. How would you remember anything? I seem to recall you were the one passed out on the couch with the stuff on your face at 8pm .....
  20. Are these for you nipples Geoff???? Which cabin/room/place are you staying at? I don't won't to be too close....
  21. It looks like the majority are fine with the 18, 19th, 20th. I'd say those are the dates. All in favour? Thanks for getting this started Joe. PS - Glad to hear things are OK Lloyd. Scarey stuff when dealing with the ticker.
  22. :rofl2: You'll soon be a wealth of knowledge Joe! I think that Cliff completely missed the boat on some of those pics by leaving the background focused and blurring the fish for some reason. Once again a great time was had by all. I hope Gerritt will add a few pics to the report. ( BTW - Thanks for the message on the $5 bill G ) Bernie, thanks again for having us up, it's always just what the doctor ordered - 2 words - stress relief. Always great to see everyone and have a few laughs, awesome meals, some fishing, a few bevies, and maybe the next time Joe and Cliff will finish more then 2 songs for us. Practice boys, practice. Chris, great to see you again. Cliff and Joe - I know that you just use me for my boat and truck. I heard ya talking...... Already looking forward to the next gathering of the 's (if Bernie can put up with us again. ) Great times boys!!
