  1. I'd probably start by shooting Limeyangler a pm on here. He's on Wabigoon I think but spends some time chasing skis on Lac Seul.

  2. Left at 3am. Back at midnight. Fished 3hrs in the morning the 3 before dark. Sat on shore middle of the day. Very sunny. ate ice cream instead of blowing a seal. owensound. 30over 65’. Nothing happening on the spoons. Changed to a Lyman and bam rainbow. Went deep. 65/125. Spoon. Look back rod is straight up. Yell fish and buddy is reeling like mad. It swam straight at the boat. Over the rail and in the pail. some bait 60’ to 80’ of water. Some big fish marked. At least 50 boats so a few fish getting caught. A guy caught 3 Lakers 80/125. It’s just starting out there.

  3. Some may say why,I say,why not,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I am truly enjoying my tying time and what I have started to become as a tier. I am not looking at being a fancy guy, just the guy that will tie what guys want and use. Been lucky to meet some great guys and they have bought and put the word of mouth out there. Have also met up with a few fellas that believe and have helped me out a lot with what is working and what could be the next bait. SO, I started my own FB group with the help of a couple of buddies. I have even gone and done up a logo with the help of these guys. Started the group just over a month ago. I was not sure how it would work, but it is up to 96 members, as of today. I am stocked up with enough bugs that most will need for fall ,winter and spring. I am also looking forward to the spring tackle swaps. The vise is away now til the colder months set in and I am not on the river till lake ice comith. I do get requests for some certain ties, but the amount is small,so do not mind doing them up. Other then that, like I said, vise is away. Spent the last couple of days on the river and it was nice and relaxing. Caught nada, but it,s nice to just toss my ties and see what comes of them. Anyhoo, looking forward to getting back on the water, putting up reports and catching and doing up some tasty smoked fish treats.

  4. It's been a while since I last posted here, but thought I'd update everyone on what I've been up to. Well, we bought a different trailer in our park and now we are waterfront....it fell into our laps and we just couldn't say no! I also bought a crimping tool from Amazon and customized my own boat cover since it stays slipped all season and my bilge pump had to work overtime. This new cover works great! I love the sunrises on this lake, so I added a few pics of that time of day and some of the fish I've caught this year.... Hard to believe we are in August already!! Hope everyone is staying well!

  5. That boat was originally a Long shaft boat, and someone has cut the transom to fit a short shaft motor. The second step down and the gusset reaching the edge are 2 giveaways. 3rd giveaway is that no one makes a 40hp short shaft motor, therefore no one will rate a short transom at 40hp I'd rip it all out and replace the transom wood to the original profile ( the pic with the red line on it). It will cost you one sheet of 3/4 plywood, paint ( sealer) and time

  8. Or. Make boat transom higher. place engine on boat. Mark holes for mounting engine on boat. Drill out holes. Buy two pieces of 1/4 stainless steel one for each side of transom that are high enough. Fill void with wood. Go fishing.

  11. You will need proof of being DOUBLE vaccinated. The second dose must be a minimum of 14 days before you cross the border. You will also need to download the ArriveCan app, fill it out, and upload doc's. Of course, you also need a valid passport. This should help: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada

  13. My son brought a walleye fillet that he purchased from Wegman's - just got done eating it after cooking it on the grill - delicious - checked the tag on the wrapping paper - product of Canada - $18.99 a pound - if you need an excuse to go fishing just tell the wife how much the fish costs -
