  2. I don't know why they are blaming the price of oil/gas going up on the current state of the world. We should blame our own asylum for not having adequate means of producing and refining.

  5. Funny how the perch locations changed. I started going to it in 2007 with my wife’s family, they had done it for years prior. We used too always sit just south of the main bridge with tons of other boats and slam the perch there. Then I think the construction started and it seems no one caught any out there anymore and it was all just in the marinas or under the bridge. I remember going to an island early on for them too.

  6. Miserable buggers, and me than can't do acrobatics or pole vault. I can remember way back there used to be quite a crew there and then just before ice out go crappie fishing in there after dark. used to go smelting by Brentwood marina back in the day too.

  8. Remember the time we were there catching perch after perch, and nobody around us was catching squat. When we left it was just about fistfights for guys trying to get into "our" spot. 😁 Good memories for sure. Doug

  9. Are you using it as a dropper, or your main lure? I think the effectiveness of a dropper is sometimes a fish wants a snack, not a meal. The bottom lure catches their attention, and the bug gets the bite.

  14. And how much does this bunch of 20L cans cost to save a few cents? $25 + tax +$28.25 not to forget the cost of gas to drive there and back for 1 20L can. So even if gas goes up .10C a litre, you would have to buy 280 litres just to cover the cost of 1 gas can, and, then don't forget you're burning gas to go to the gas station to fill them up. BTW, I didn't add the cost of stabil either.

  16. I get the "each to their own". When I first seen them,I was like ,they look cheap and not very well made. After many reviews,I decided to buy them for just the weight of them and the warmth they gave. I have been a fan ever since I got them. I hate wet/cold feet. The thick souls really keep the ice cold getting in. The only thing that is a minus,my buddies tell me I knew you were out,I seen the NATS stamp in the snow. LOL

  17. I went to our local Trading Post where they sell them. I was unimpressed. The boot feels like hard plastic in the warm store. I can imagine they would crack at 20 below. Super thick liners and stiff Went back to another store and bought my old standard Acton Prairie boot. Light, flexible and warm. Like wearing bedroom slippers Been wearing them for fishing etc for 45 years now
