  1. You won't believe the places this thing will go..... we just picked them up on Saturday. Well you know the first thing we had to do was drive them down the road, through a ditch and into the river. Swamp grass, water, mud, beaver dams, you name it, we tried it and all they did was keep amazing us. We ended up hitting a little lake we knew for some pike, OMG amazing, we caught so many fish we lost count, ( you couldn't get there any other way) we went places you couldn't get with a boat or an ATV, we went places where you couldn't walk. We went places you couldn't get to even with a float plane, ( well you might make it in but getting out would have been a challange ๐Ÿ˜Š Now I will admit you can get them stuck. Yup I did LOL, I tried to cross a small creek just wider than my wheel base, it was deep with very steep sides, ya, my son did have to winch me out. Well if you don't get one stuck you don't know what it takes right ? ๐Ÿ˜Š IMG_1325.MOV

  5. you are indeed not. This was actually clarified directly by the Ministry after a bunch of catch photo and release tournament style guys brought it up. The Ministry came out with the following statement Dear Bass Tournament or Event Organizer, The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) recently announced changes to the Fisheries Management Zone 20 (FMZ 20) bass seasons effective January 1, 2021. New for FMZ 20, is a catch and release season for bass (smallmouth and largemouth) from January 1 to May 10. Several tournament organizers have enquired about hosting catch, photo, measure and release events during the catch and release season. Taking time to measure, weigh and photograph a fish in a strictly catch and release fishery is not permitted. MNRF direction on what anglers must do with their fish when there is no legal possession limit is as follows: โ€œIf an angler catches a fish that cannot be legally possessed (e.g., during the closed season, prohibited size, exceeds the catch and possession limits), the fish must be immediately released at the place and time of capture. This includes fish that may be injured during catch. This information is available to anglers on page 11 of the 2021 Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary.โ€ For further information on the immediate release provisions around catch and release seasons or competitive fishing in Ontario (generally) please contact: Dan Taillon Fisheries Section, Fish and Wildlife Policy Branch, MNRF [email protected] 705-772-8748

  6. A quick google of "Toronto Urban Fishing" takes you to a website that has a lot of info. No promise that they aren't all fished out or heavily pressured. But I don't think you can't be too picky if your just making accounts on forums to ask for spots.

  8. Pike aren't fussy, they'll hit anything that moves, even baits as big as themselves LOL

  9. It's not very scenic up the 400 much past the Waub to be honest. Once you get past PAB you could always stop at the Key or French river for a little break and some views.

  10. We've got a deck that runs the full 50' across the back of the house and although the frame is still in excellent condition the floor was showing it's age so I decided it was time to spruce it up. I pulled all the old boards off and replaced them all with new pressure treated and it turned out really nice. I'll leave it alone for the summer then seal it all. The brown pressure treated boards look much nicer then the green ones we used to get. Biggest job now is cutting up all the old boards & hauling them to the dump.

  11. Just read an article today about the demand for lumber. I remember a couple of months ago when I first started the deck I came home from work and the wife said while doing the dishes a pickup stopped in front of our driveway and 2 guys were looking at something and drove away. No doubt it was all that wood that was sitting there. Into the garage it went.

  14. Why is it that shore fisherman spend their lives casting as far as they can out into the water while guys in boats love to cast towards shore?

  15. The whole scenario makes me think he is known to the CO's with the fish in the freezer coming into play, repeat offender perhaps and got the book thrown at him, otherwise it does seem a bit overboard.

  16. Monster! Get a photo replica made, thatโ€™s what I did for my 14.5 inch perch and the big bass my son and I caught last summer.
