  1. All these years of saying never,I decided to get my first tat. My youngest son has reached his certification to do ink work. He has been working at it for a long time. A friend of his that has been doing it for many long years, took him under his fin and has coached him. He is now part of the company . He does all his own drawings and has these crazy apps that I have no idea how to use. Today was the out lay. 3 weeks from now he will start the coloring. This is on my casting and drift arm. Chasing tails. There will be water drops and a splash around the tail when he starts the coloring . Looking forward to the finished art work .

  5. Yep Brain was $22.50/inch when I had him do the Daughter's 44.5" pike that died on us on a back lake. God knows I tried for almost 2 hours to revive that fish, but it is what it is, a $1000 Christmas present.. lol Glad to see they're back up and running after the place burning down a few years back.

  8. Depends when he got it. If I got a 6 lb’r across my back when I was 16 it would be a 25 lb’r now!

Bit of a delay here lol - posted this last week but work and a mini vacation kept me from sharing If you love back country camping, paddling or just a good nature tale I recommend you check out a Lonely Land by SIgurd F Olson Middle aged men recreating a historical paddling route with lots of rapids and a little fishing thrown in Most likely my last post for a few weeks - head out on Friday for our 2020 fly in trip - so pumped Andrew https://www.northernjacks.com/post/the-lonely-land-by-sigurd-f-olson-a-book-review

  10. Had time at lunch to screw 7 25-30 watt solar panels to the front of my deck. Didn't have time to wire them up yet though.

  11. Been hard at it, just haven't been posting. Got the ceiling joists/trusses all finished up as well as the vent plumbing and fire sprinkler pluming all done in the attic. Still have some wiring and woodwork to do. Also have to finish the vaulted ceiling insulation before I can do the attic insulation.

  12. If you decide to launch at the end of the Temagami Lake access road be sure to take at least 2 gallons of water with you to leave in the car. This is for when you come back to your vehicle, that will be parked about 2 miles down the road from the launch, to get the dust off your windshield so you can see to drive. If you park in a residents #'d parking spot or the reserves private lot on the North side you will be ticketed, towed or worse by the owner of the stall you took. This may also be the last year for non residents/tax payers to use the ramps for free, or park for free. Most bring everything with them and don't even know the way into town so add no economic value to the Municipality and the majority have had enough. The Municipality and Band Council are currently working together to form a corporation to control the end of the road. The better approach IMHO is to come into town, forget the 45 minutes of beating your stuff up on the road to the hub. Launch your boat for free beside Temagami Outfitters (turn left at the gas station, then 2 buildings over). Tie your boat to the far end of the dock, go park your truck/trailer over the tracks behind the train station, walk back and hit the LCBO and grocery store on the way back to your boat via Wildflower Drive that will take you right back to the ramp.
