  1. Good morning Lew I was out this morning. I made my way out using my Shakespeare 55lb thrust electric motor. Top notch and gets me out there quick at a high speed of 3.6 mph. That 3 blade prop sure is sweet. My toon, built in china and shipped here to Canada, is one of the top ones out there. I was jigging with my awesomely fabricated Spro 1 pc 6.6 ft rod. Matched up with a ABU 4500 reel filled with power pro 30 lb test with a 8 ft,10 lb floro carbon leader. Great brand that Sufix is. I was using my home tied fly swim bait today. Great tied fly by that guy. I blame all the above sponsored products, as I did not catch anything . Still, thanks to my sponsors for allowing me to get out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 🤣 Have a great day B

Then a women who was working there comes right beside everyone touching some and not wearing a mask so I told her to stop and not come near me , she said she has to get to the cash register I said if you need to get by me wear a mask. She said I was wearing a mask so she didn’t need to. I took out my phone snapped a photo and told her I would call the police if she came any closer She turned and walked away

  4. It looks like the military did the general public a big favor! I think they have blown the lid off the atrocious conditions in nursing homes.https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/long-term-care-pandemic-covid-coronavirus-trudeau-1.5584960?cmp=newsletter_Coronavirus%20Brief_1316_30754

  5. I stopped watching TV fishing shows years ago mainly because most of them are nothing more than Infomercials and IMO the worst was always Fishful Thinking. I came in the den at 9:00 this morning and turned on the TV and sure enough it was Fishful Thinking. I wondered if anything had changed and sat down to watch it. Only took a couple minutes and he hooked into a Lake O salmon and by the time he had the fish in the boat he'd advertised ... I think ...7 different products. I turned it off and I spose it'll be another 5 years before I watch another fishing show.

Reopens on Monday, maintaining the groups no larger than 5, unless from the same household, policy. https://news.ontario.ca/ene/en/2020/05/backcountry-camping-available-at-ontario-parks-and-on-crown-lands-starting-june-1.html?utm_source=ondemand&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=m&fbclid=IwAR0hgZ9IeXouMSWChPi9J59ihoq3EjmKPSBvfag6OdYLtLuQOOGvyRBGREs

  8. As Wayne said it's cyclical but weather patterns have changed over the last bunch of years as well. To those who were whining one way and are now whining back the other way? Take their cottages from them , revoke their cottage ownership cards and rent the units out to someone that will enjoy the respite they offer , then send the former owners a cheque every month until they're paid in full. Some people are never happy i guess .

  9. Based on the experience of acquaintances I wouldn't buy a welded boat under .125" either, starting with an '88 Crestliner they have been bad, maybe they have sorted out the welding by now but seen too many cracks lengthwise , immediately adjacent to the welds.

  11. My understanding was that the issues were primarily in private nursing homes. Shouldn’t that be up to the private companies themselves that continued to pay dividends to fix their own problems?

  12. I've been here for 35 years, the wife lived on Sturgeon Bay as a 4 year old so I won't say how long that is, but I'm 58 and she's 2 years younger than me! lol It's a cycle, when her Father bought their place he had something like 235 feet of deeded front yard. When I went there in '82 there was about 60 feet of front yard. When the stop the drop crowd was crying that they'd bought "waterfront" (sold to them during a high water cycle with dredged channels to their docks) most in Sturgeon Bay were back to a few hundred feet of dry land in their front yards, or very shallow water with long docks as what was land was washed away. The current water level is the highest I've ever seen it, Father in Law is now approaching 80 and still on he Bay. Says he's seen it at this level before or damn close.

  13. They gave all that money to help the rent 50% of peoples rent or that 75% of peoples wages it’s going to be years and years before they pay down what they have spent on covid related crap the cost to fix nursing homes will be staggering

  14. Believe me , they are not saving much based on my CPP ( which I paid into BTW) and my OAS, for which I paid taxes for 40 some years.

  15. LOTS of rods and reels. Access to keeper walleye, not so much. I don't care for Bay of Quinte walleye, and the slot limit on the back lakes seriously restricts what a person can keep.......most fish caught are over the slot limit. About a two pound walleye or bigger goes back into the drink. Nice eaters aren't eaters around here. Thankfully, we have good numbers of decent perch! And crappies, bluegills, pumpkinseeds, and bass....................I am never hurting for a feed of fish, but I sure have a hankering for a feed of walleye! Doug
