Went to Meaford for kings.  Not much on the finder. Ran new gear and everything worked great.  Big Jon electric is really fast compared to my old one.  The big Jon free and easy release works ok and I got one fish on it.  I’ll have to try it again to see if I’m going to keep using it.
2/2 on lake trout. Nice morning out.

I’d like to find a good salmon bite but where?
I guess I could go for Erie walleye.
I’m not sure what to do for the next trip.

The north shore of Lake O will be heating big time for Kings over the next few weeks.
If it's big Kings you want, launch early and don't go too far offshore until the Sun is high.

Lake O would be a nice trip but I haven’t given up on GB yet.
towing the boat from Barrie to lake O ain’t great either.

nice job! I agree about a bit of a drive being worth it. You are probably less than 2.5 hours to some great salmon fishing on Lake O. Shoot I drive 3 hours just to get skunked by musky!

I can walk, well wheel across the street to the park and fish the mouth of Etobicoke creek. My friend caught a 40+ pound king there about 10 years ago. I can even fish the creek from my condo property on the north side of the Lakeshore rd  where they take a bit of a rest when they fight the low rocky waters under the Lakeshore bridge where the water is super shallow. I never fished there yet. I use to enjoy watching them and the trout run the creek for their spawning runs in the spring and fall.
