Headhunter Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 My niece is teaching on a small Carribean Island. Her and her husband have been surf fishing and enjoying the beach during all this covid crap. My niece dug this up on the beach and after a bit of research, found it to be a glass fishing float. Anyone ever seen one like this? HH
DRIFTER_016 Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 Yes, they are used on nets to keep them floating. Mostly use cork now though. 1
the spirit of fishing Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 I have seen some similar to that used as decorative antiques. What Dave said is also my understanding of their use. 1
misfish Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 Very cool Joe . It would make a nice bong 😁 2 4
akaShag Posted January 12, 2022 Report Posted January 12, 2022 I saw lots of them on the west coast of Vancouver Island, and also up in the Torngat mountain area of Labrador. The floats were down beside the ocean, not up in the mountains....😉
