You guys are doing it wrong.

If I don't recognize the # I don't answer the phone.

If it's legit and important they will leave a message.

This goes for my home and cell phones.

 

I have no patients for scammers or telemarketers.

wife said she got a msg that she had won all sorts of trips but accidentaly erased gthe msg. Oh, darn. Now we'll have to pay for the trips ourselves!!!

Why don;t i get these calls? Have a landline and only get family, friends, or expected calls. Didn't join "don't call list" or anything.

I love these credit card guys. I pick up my house phone and start dialing. They fall for it every time but they never want to talk to bank.

Yep. x2!!! Call blocking on my cell and it doesn't even ring or show the number. It does go to voice mail sometimes and I get a click, I can deal with that, delete message.

My problem is that I recently entered aTransat contest for a free vacation and will likely hang up in the unlikely chance that my name is drawn.

I honestly feel bad for the actual people that call and try to sell things. Has to be one of the most depressing jobs imaginable. I'd also bet those shady companies that hire them told them they'd be working a "sales" position and that they have the opportunity to earn commission. Then set them down in front of an auto-dial phone and tell them their salary is 100% commission.
