DRIFTER_016 Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 Came across this today and it would make a great addition to your sled or quad to keep you safe during your ice fishing trips. http://nebulusflotation.com/ http://fishing.scout.com/story/1507268-if-you-go-through-the-ice?s=197&utm_source=SocialMedia&utm_medium=HootSuitePost&utm_campaign=HootSuite
Joey Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 (edited) Very interesting, would make me feel alot safer going over cracks on Simcoe I can tell you that!!! Edited February 3, 2015 by Joey
c10 Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 Yea I just saw this on Facebook as well! certainly something I am going include in my budget when I get a quad or sled! It is expensive, but I don't think you can really put a price on safety... metaphorically speaking lol. Thanks for sharing though eh
Big Cliff Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 I wonder if a couple of the Auto Inflate life jackets, one on each side would do it? The best thing about them is they would be automatic if submerged.
Terry Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 I was checking that out on the weekend it is a great idea in their video the atv is totally underwater but not far down and the thing acts as a raft for people to get on
DRIFTER_016 Posted February 3, 2015 Author Report Posted February 3, 2015 Yep, a lot easier to recover than from 200' down.
Old Ironmaker Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 I don't sled but it looks like a great idea and would have one on a sled or ATV, can they be used on a ATV? . My only question would be that would the air bag be able to push through big slabs of ice to come to the surface. I see where machines have gone down and a huge hole isn't created sometimes and the slabs of ice basically cover where it want down.
