16 Footer Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 I am planning a fishing trip to the West Arm early July. Need some advise as I have never been there before. Where can I launch my 16' aluminum boat and park for 3 days? I am planning to camp out, are there crown land sites or park sites available? I usually fish for Bass, Walleye and Pike, any recommended spots to fish? Thanks for your reply
Joeytier Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 The 'west arm' encompasses a very large area, so you may have to be a little more specific
16 Footer Posted June 6, 2014 Author Report Posted June 6, 2014 West side of Hwy 64. May also go to the east side (West Bay).
Musky or Specks Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Don't forget there's musky in them dar waters
lew Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Maybe try Memquisit Lodge, their just east of 64 and may let you park for the 3 days. Plenty of empty islands up in West Bay too and I've often seen tents on them. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0CCIQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.memquisitlodge.net%2F&ei=qg2SU_jVLYeOyATMq4DQAQ&usg=AFQjCNGSBtQDrB8MkFPhKPcQfp05MIyJ4w&bvm=bv.68445247,d.aWw

AdamS Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 I went to west arm lodge last year. I stayed in one of their cottages but as far as I know you can camp out there too. Owners are real nice friendly people.
16 Footer Posted June 7, 2014 Author Report Posted June 7, 2014 Thanks for all your replies. I did find a West Arm fishing map:
