solopaddler Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 im looking for paper maps, not gps,but i found a place,$25,laminated with shipping http://www.fishingmapsplus.com/index.html I just ordered a depth map of Dayohessarah from Lorne today.
123chadder Posted April 30, 2014 Author Report Posted April 30, 2014 he told me when i called that someone else called and ordered the same map,but the name was different, figured it might be from your group.....great minds think alike pal....lol
bayofquintecharters Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 Do you have a smart phone? Have you tried the Navionics mobile app? You can also view all the Canadian maps for free on www.navionics.com. But the mobile app is the way to go if you can. What lakes are you looking for? Scott
Old Ironmaker Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 We used to get all our maps from The Canadian Center for Inland Waters. They are located at the lift bridge below the Burlington Skyway bridge. They weren't free. If they don't have the map it most likely doesn't exist.
solopaddler Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 he told me when i called that someone else called and ordered the same map,but the name was different, figured it might be from your group.....great minds think alike pal....lol Yeah that was my buddy, he had the map addressed to me though. Lorne's maps are good with only one drawback. They're laminated so it's next to impossible to mark them. If that's something you want to do ask him and he'll send you just the paper map.
123chadder Posted May 1, 2014 Author Report Posted May 1, 2014 thanx mike,i wanted to scan some extra copies as well,i called and left a message.....can you carefully cut the laminating off?i always just use a large freezer bag for maps....
