On an Arctic canoe trip many years ago twice I saw a falcons catch birds is flight. The speed was incredible and the whole incident one of the most memorable things I have ever seen in person.

That's friggin ' awesome !

Copied this , most of us probably already knew this .

"The Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), is a widespread bird of prey in the family Falconidae. A large, crow-sized falcon, it has a blue-gray back, barred white underparts, and a black head and moustache. The Peregrine is renowned for its speed, reaching over 325 km/h (202 mph) during its characteristic hunting stoop, making it the fastest member of the animal kingdom."

Wife has her falconry license, I'm told we're getting a Harris hawk in the spring .

I guess we'll see who puts more birds and rabbits in the freezer, my short haired pointer or her raptor LOL.

My only hope is the pointer doesn't but the raptor in the freezer YIKES $$$$$$$$$$
